I'm almost certain that's Saint Lauren Paris, or at least is heavily reminiscent of Heidi's current work. I know SLP have done leather paneled sweaters in the past, both in the torso and arms, and the zip configuration also makes me think SLP. But don't buy it, Slimane is a hack who's literally just trying to denigrate Yves Saint Laurent as much as humanly possible.

Hedi, as a designer, has always been rather overrated, at least to me. When he first started designing for Dior Homme, it was a relatively fresh take on menswear - people, at first, were aghast at his vision, saying "I can't believe his putting denim on the runway, this is the house of Dior!". But his subversiveness really played into his style, a style that was based around the image of excess and rock star cool. Despite the quality of some of the clothing (Especially in collections like Luster), they weren't all that impressive design wise, it was the image and the hype selling the clothes. In fact, I think everything Slimane did was done better and earlier by Lad Musician. The subversive styling, the extremely tall and skinny cuts, the darkened color palette and rock-star coolness. All done earlier in Japan.
But Hedi's work had an incontrovertible effect on the mainstream fashion public. His style was edgy, but it wasn't off-putting or avant-garde, and his clothes weren't particularly special, they were just "cool", and you say that trickle down to high street chains like Topshop, and towards the end of Slimane's tenure, there were so many unoriginal copycats of an unoriginal copycat that the market was saturated with Slimane's grungy style.
Fast forward 5 years after Slimane's last collection to his appointment at YSL. Nothing really changed - he's pulling out the same old gimmicks, his styling is even more bizarre and uninspired and non-cohesive, he can't even be bothered to uphold the rock star look that sold his clothes in the collections themselves, the rock star image is more prevalent in the advertisement. And frankly, from my experience, the quality doesn't justify the exorbitant prices. In the mid-2000s, Dior Homme jeans were well-reputed, especially since quality japanese denim was still relatively difficult to get a hold of. Now, you can get such a wider range of far better denim and SLP are still putting out the same rubbish.

Frankly, most of the collections look like rejects from Topshop and Topman, simply because Slimane refuses to innovate and bring something new into the industry that's been so heavily influenced by his original work, which was hardly stellar in itself. Hedi is an uninspired hack who's success lies more in marketing and image than design.
That and he's fucked over SLP tremendously, basically spitting in the face of Yves' legacy. Changing the name to the gaudy and gauche "Saint Laurent Paris" and moving the house to California? That's disgusting.

Sorry for the long post, I just felt like I needed to articulate why I dislike Slimane so much.

An interesting opinion and a good read
I for one quite like Heidi's artistic vision but I don't know anything at all about the history of fashion and the origin of certain trends and styles so to be informed of his plagiarism of sorts is very very interesting
Who are the original pioneers of the "rock star grunge , tall and skinny" look then?
Do you have any designers I could research?
You're very articulate btw

Thank you very much.
I think the designers that Slimane is indebted to are mainly Vivienne Westwood and Raf Simons. I would say the style is very similar to Yuichi Kuroda of Lad Musician, as I said before, which opened in the early 90s, but I doubt even Slimane knew of Kuroda-san, as very few people do today, but his label Lad Musician is essentially the better and more original Dior Homme. Westwood's look with Seditionaries was synonymous with the punk look at the time, operating out of McLaren's sex shop in the UK. Her style as it's gone on has been as much associate with post-punk, new wave and has become increasingly less youthful, and more theatrical and somewhat matured, I would say. She pioneered the grungy street rocker look two full decades before Slimane was appointed to YSL for the first time, before even working at Dior. As for Raf Simons, Raf's early work was synonymous with a subversive youthful look that was based around very slim, modern tailoring, before moving to larger and more flowing silhouettes in the 2000s. In fact, Slimane came into criticism earlier in his career for copying Raf's slim silhouettes, so much so that Hedi banned some journalists for comparing him to Raf. Quite a laugh if you act me, and an extremely childish move on Slimane's part.
I mean, it's your choice whether you like Slimane's work or not, I'm just saying I don't particularly enjoy his work and I think him being lauded for his work isn't really deserved, and the quality from all the past seasons I've handled don't really justify the price. If you can get it on markdown, by all means, but paying retail for the jeans or the leatherware is not at all worth it to me.
Oh, and it's Hedi, not Heidi, just for future reference.
And thank you! I'm not particularly eloquent, but I try.

I'm off out for a bit but when I get back i'm going i'm gonna go and trawl the internet for old lookbooks and articles about them as they sound interesting
Raf is very quickly becoming one of my fav designers
I don't think 2013 has been his best year if imo but the more I look into his past collections , ethics and foundations of his style the more he appeals to me.
Saving up for the redux atm
Well and like a million other pieces lol
Btw are you that guy Nomad who used to trip here or do you just have a lot of his fits?
You both seem to love visvim and watanabe

Yeah I'm Nomad but I had to lay low for a while, hate game on /fa/ too strong, I just want to drop knowledge and spread love.
Yeah, I feel the same way about Raf, I'm kind of sick of his intentionally gauche look, but his pre-2005 work is pretty great, though not really my aesthetic.

SLP uses almost exclusively silver-tone zips. I suspect OP's image is something along the lines of En Noir.
