Are mirrors a true measure of how good you look?

I think I look sexy as fuck in mirrors but when I'm walking around outside I think I look like shit. Same when I see pictures of myself.

Everybody has this problem and it's because you're used to seeing a refected image of yourself and any other way makes you look seem odd looking to you. Other people would say the same of a picture of you in a mirror I assume. Other people probably think you look handsome

Photographs are pretty unnatural, they create a still moment for people to see and judge. Real life has movement and loses that privilege.
And you look the same in the mirror as other people see you, but try using a mirror outside of a bathroom/bedroom with ideal lighting.
Also you're probably too critical of yourself. I absolutely hate lots of features about myself, but others never notice them...
