Used to snowboard in a modded gas mask. One of these models with the filter removed and the breathing opened up a bit. Defogger on the lenses, sometimes a light balaclava underneath to absorb sweat.

It worked differently on the late 90's, I think. There was so much disdain coming from skiers on a lot of mountains, after a while we just played into it, dressed like monsters, smoked up on the lifts and snowed as many skiers as we could.

>autist core
Take strange risks and fail if need be. Going through live worrying bout things like 'looking tryhard' or 'autism' is not living. It's how cowards justify their own weakness.

It was kind of bad on some mountains - on many occasions I was pushed over, cut off, tripped or sworn at (while actually moving, on the slopes) by the sort of douchey ski-bum types you'd expect to see in an 80's sports movie. People named Brad.
Several of my friends had the same experiences, especially earlier in the 90s.

I always found skiing was a lot easier than snowboarding, to be honest. I was a natural on skis but I found the stunt vocabulary on snowboards much more appealing. The wipeouts always hurt a lot more, tho - the board is pretty bolted to your feet, and I had to re-learn how to shift my weight in a fixed stance.

do not ride while leaning back
put your body over the front of your boot
lean into the turn and shift your weight from outside edge to outside edge
turn wider than you think you should at first
until you know yourself and your abilities very well, focus on improving more than trying to do hard shit

It starts small. It starts with little risks, like cutting a long line or telling strangers to get the fuck out of your way when they block the doors on the train. It starts when you tell an SA point-blank to just leave you alone, and you make eye contact the entire time.
It starts when you're stuck in traffic and you decide to drive on the sidewalk for a few blocks because fuck it.
It starts when some kid in your social circle says something truly rude to you in front of your peers and you instantly slap him with an open palm and then never mention it again.
It starts when you hit your father or your bully back for the first time. It starts when you just forget about all the shit that's bound to hit the fan.
I guess it starts when you've finally had enough of the status quo, and that's a personal thing that changes from person to person.
Remember that it's always easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission. Just do whatever you want until you get called on it, then make note of where the boundaries are, apologize and continue doing whatever you want. More surreptitiously, this time around. You have to get used to that fear of reprisal. Me, I used to be legitimately more scared of 'getting in trouble' than I was of death. My worst fear was the idea of being in trouble. Pathetic. I just ground away at that fear until it stopped hitting me so hard.
Courage isn't being fearless, it's going through with whatever you had planned in spite of how racked you are with deep, primal fear.

As for the rest of your question, I have to think on it.

Poet i like you but this is some edgy autist shit. Cutting a line or driving along the pavement or just doing whatever you want without caring how it'll affect other people is not "not letting people walk on you", it's just being a cunt. If you keep pushing it (implying you actually do any of this shit lel) people might not call you out on it to your face, but they'll sure as hell be talking about it behind your back. You'll quickly become 'that guy' that everyone puts up with but no one actually likes, who gets bitched about whenever he leaves the room, doesn't get invited to anything, and eventually, when you keep pushing the boundaries, when you keep getting on people's nerves (even if they're too polite to say it), you will get ditched. Or you'll end up with a bunch of people as socially inept as you are, only friends with each other because everyone else has ditched you, and then you'll hopefully start to realise just how grating people who think like that actually are.

Have fun with that m8.

It's not about consciously being an asshole. It's about reaching that moment where the invisible social walls cease to exist, even if only for a moment, and the intrinsic value of that brief awareness.
I don't go around driving on sidewalks all the time or cutting lines, I'm very polite IRL. But there's a place I've been to where all that went out the window for a bit on account of how fed up I was, and being in that place taught me a lot about myself and why I put up with shit that I don't have to.
It's how that experience changes you. It's that moment you step outside of the rules. Being an asshole all the time is not recommended.

>all that went out the window for a bit on account of how fed up I was, and being in that place taught me a lot about myself and why I put up with shit that I don't have to.
This is important. For many people, even more important than understanding why you put up with bullshit you don't have to put up with is truly understanding that you don't have to put up with it in the first place. It really has to be experienced from the first person. The lesson is a feeling. It can't be learned by thinking about it. Brief abstinence from responsibility and courtesy really makes me appreciate myself when I do the civil thing, which is what I usually do because I understand its purpose. It no longer feels like the only option now though. It's empowering to experience both sides.
