Thanks, man. I like to think the pairing was intentional on my part.
To be honest, I started posting my face to force myself out of my comfort zone. I've been using /fa/ to get over myself, in a sense. By posting my face, I open myself up to the sort of criticism and negativity that terrifies many of us. I had the strong suspicion that this fear and negativity was a paper tiger, so I just started putting myself out there.

Pic related has potential. I would probably have it tapered and run it through the wash 10 times to break it in a bit. It's only 50 bucks, too.

if you're going to get stuff tailored, you should grab some paramedic pants from one of those stores that sells gear for police officers, firemen, etc.

they're cheap compared to stuff made for fashion and they're going to be good quality too. plus lots of functional pockets. the only thing is, I would feel ingenuine wearing such a purpose built garment but you wouldn't have a problem with that judging by the stuff you're wearing.

I'd probably go for high-end tactical first - Kitanica, Kryptek, TAD, Ardennes Dri-Fire, Crye Precision. But I will definitely give that a look. I found some paramedic jackets a while back that screamed at me a bit, but I had a similar issue to the one you did - the real garments don't always feel the same as the forward thinking creations and designer speculations.

I've seen a lot of techwear and lunarcore threads and what strikes me is how much it seems to rely on layering to build up to a solid fit.

I want to see if it's possible to put together some ideas for summer techwear. the problem that I've encountered is that it always strays into sportswear, which isn't the aesthetic that I'm chasing. last time I raised this people kept bringing up gyakusou which I personally don't like at all.

Our 40th anniversary Men's Post Foamback Cagoule rain poncho has elasticized gasket cuffs, drawcord hood and hem; made from GORE-TEX® fabric with Paclite® Fabric Technology.

Like the original cagoule rain jacket developed for British climbers in the early '60s, our reincarnation is, “cut full to allow you to pull the skirt over the knees during a rainstorm or bivouac." Crafted from 21st-century, 2-layer waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX® Paclite® fabric, this portable rain shelter features elasticized gaiters at cuffs plus drawcord hood and a rollable drawcord hem to seal out wetness without sacrificing mobility when you need to scramble over a pass. Offset shoulder seams won't interfere with a pack. Self-stuff large chest pocket snaps closed and secures to harness; zippered internal pass-through pockets dump heat or stash valuables.

Now, even in burly alpine conditions, you can rely on the warmth and comfort that only down offers: The Encapsil™ Down Belay Parka, an uncommonly beautiful work of design, engineering and function, is the best down parka ever made. And it’s the first of its kind - a 100% independently baffled, differentially cut parka without a single shortcut or “cheat.” Weighing in just north of 18 ounces (518 grams), it’s insulated with Patagonia’s proprietary, plasma-treated, water-repellent Encapsil™ down that carries an unprecedented fill-power of 1000. The result is an incredibly warm parka for its light weight.
Details

Ultralightweight 100% nylon shell fabric with a polyurethane dry coating has excellent water repellency
Helmet-compatible, baffled hood has a single drawcord that creates a small draft collar of down around the face
Variegated baffles are smaller in high-compression areas, like the shoulders and the small of the back, to keep the down from shifting; double-baffle wind flap completely seals out cold and wind
Exterior handwarmer pockets are independently insulated to retain precious warmth, even with the pocket zippers open; the high position keeps them away from the harness line; large interior mesh pockets placed toward the back reduce bulk in front
Flexible, low-profile cuffs sit soft on the arm and easily push up and out of the way
Unique pull-system at hem lets you adjust drawcord from inside or out; drawcord won’t dangle or snag on harness, rocks or branches. Mini snowskirt keeps out wind and snow from below. Regular fit accommodates layers; numbered, limited edition
Shell: 0.85-oz 10-denier Pertex® Endurance fabric 100% nylon ripstop with a polyurethane dry coat. Baffles: 0.3-oz 100% nylon mesh knit. Lining: 0.82-oz 10-denier Pertex fabric 100% nylon ripstop. Insulation: Encapsil™ 1000-fill-power premium European goose down

That basic thing is extremely easy to work out, just picking the pieces you like, almost. You can manage so much just by having exactly the *right* pieces for you.

I think for sure the pieces that could be used are out there, just no one has been putting them together in the way I'm thinking. or at least, they haven't been doing it and then taking photos of it to put on the internet. Or I haven't seen it yet

here's a quick sketch as an idea, ignore feet cause straight on is a terrible angle for drawing shoes.

I think it'd be really easy to look bad doing this, every item would have to be spot on. as a compromise, you wouldn't need as many.

something like this: hypebeast.com/brands/rains/black-sack could work as a bag, and towards the budget end as well, but everything is so dependent on materials and patterns

We’re deep into the Carolina countryside, dead of night. I never knew such darkness outside of tunnels and tombs, I never imagined the scattering of eyes, beaming back my halogens like a threat before dipping back into the forest, that serrated tree line blotting out the stars as we hit the first pocket of low-lying fog.
The mist floats right up from the road bed, brief clusters of dead clouds whipping over the hood, tangling with our headlights. I feel her eyes scan over me from the passenger seat - she does this when she’s scared. Judging my composure, maybe. Metering her own response to this empty road, these passing fog banks, those strange eyes flitting past us from the tall grass that grows in the shade of a lifeless gas station on the outskirts of a dying town.
She points to a sign (bright yellow diamond nearly hidden in empty branches), demands a translation.
“It means this road won’t be paved much longer. Probably gravel.”
My ears are popping now, we’re headed up a steep one-lane dinosaur into the heart of an old green mountain and I remind her we stopped seeing mailboxes about ten minutes ago. The canopy is a mess, dead trees woven together with broken rock and deepest night. She asks me again if the doors are locked.

You don’t expect to hit something at a time like this. All those endless acres of woodland, a single road cutting through them, I saw it from ten thousand feet as the airbus dropped through the cloud cover over Charlotte. It’s infinite, you can’t see the ends of it.
A panicked doe crashes through underbrush to my right, a blur of pale dun fur and empty black eyes tearing into the roadway at a 45 degree angle, too soon, too close. These are the thoughts that passed through me right then, every concern raised instantly, my own mind addressing them one by one in the space of a second that seems like a minute.

Trajectory (ours, its).
Passenger (she’s screaming now, astonishingly high pitched, no way we won’t hit).
Brake (apply in moderation).
Yaw (avoid oversteer).
Traction (poor).
Worst case scenario (hooves pierce windshield, reconstructive surgery ensues).
Insurance (paid in advance).

She’s still screaming when the dust clears, her entire body pulled back into the depths of that bucket seat, knees around her head, hands clasped over her eyes. The doe vanishes into the forest, its flank only grazed. We’ve spun out a bit, but that’s all. The engine pulses, the dust settles and the halogens continue. Her screams settle into sobs, settle into gasping breaths.

I feel nothing, and this pleases me.

Moreover, Voivod, back then, was all about grim parodies of space operas. Much like the whole spacecore thing. It's DEEP.

ralphlauren.com
look under 'RLX'
I have the white ones and there's no external branding on them.

They also get pushed out of shopstyle via various retailers.

i liked oblivion. it was cheesy as fuck some times, but still cool. i think people just didn't like it because tom cruise is in it. fucking scientology master race. i heard elysium was shit but i haven't seen it. i heard the filming / shakey cam is just ridiculous.
