Jordans? Like what?
I'm kinda looking for nice casual pair of shoes to wear around, something nice, but flexible with a variety of outfits ideally?

Been waiting for a thread like this..

Could anyone write up a list of some quality casual shoes, not low-tier looking and cheap as sneakers, yet not dressed-up looking like dress shoes?

Like pic related perhaps?

Oxfords and boat shoes are expensive shoes if you want to do it right. They're great styles, but if you don't pay for leather quality, they look bad. If your budget is Sperry, don't get boat shoes.

Your budget calls for sneakers. It might not be what you want, but what you want is not in your budget. You are, realistically, looking at something like Converse.

If you want boat shoes, you need to find a way to put up at least $200. If you want oxfords, expect $300+.

suede bucks are generally more affordable and casual.

Grenson is alright if you get a sale price. Quality isn't amazing but it's good enough; better than what you get below that price point.

If you're saying the budget can be anywhere, Tricker's doesn't tend to look dressed-up, just really classic and high-quality. You might be paying a lot for them, but hell, they're gorgeous casual shoes. Alden as well. Both are good options if your budget is unlimited.

I haven't personally tried on Yuketen's made in mexico oxfords, and I don't know who makes them. But they look neat and the price isn't so bad when they're on sale. Their Johnson oxfords, which are made by Viberg, are also cool.

Oh, Viberg. Viberg is good.

Common Projects makes oxfords that look good and definitely casual. They might not work with just any aesthetic, but they are worth mentioning.

I like some of McNairy's offerings; the quality isn't amazing but the styling is usually pretty neat, definitely casual. I don't really care for McNairy's work with other clothing pieces but he does alright with shoes IMO.

And, I mean, realistically, there are a billion options for oxfords. There are so many brands out there making solid shoes in that style. Look around different retailers and do some research on the brands. The options are near-infinite with casual oxfords and brogues.

Thanks for the tips man. I understand that there are many options about everything, but it's nice to spend the little money I have on some solid basic - you gotta start somewhere right?
