Well I've never had to lighten my face, but the general rule of thumb with facial masks is until it's dried and then you just kind of rub it off. Maybe twice a day and then you can gradually slow it down to once a week once you'e started seeing results... but like I said, I've never had to lighten my face, so I don't know shit.
