i dont think you understand how fabric works very well. it gives denim stretch, which allows you to fit it in ways that are much less feasible than plain cotton. it basically allows a pattern maker more freedom in how they cut fitted jeans.

I agree with you on washes. Some of the stuff I've seen from Prps, Dior, Rick are far superior to what you can achieve when you stay raw. I've seen a few high end distressed pieces that are part raw, part distressed - so you get a blending of natural fades and a really unique or intense look right off the bat that looks even better over time.
