I'm a big fan of the Gorillaz, are converse in general unacceptable?

I'm of the opinion that more important the the cloth itself, is how it fits your style, and that as long as it's of good quality, everything have it's place.

That said, gorilazz converse will make you look underage&retarded IMO. But hey, clothes are a way to express yourself.

My only advice is to go with some simple, one color jeans or shorts (the converse already have too much information for your botton area). For more in-depth info, post a bit about your bodytype, skin color etc. Or even better: give those to some homeless guy and buy decent shoes, you will have a hard time finding something worse than what you currently have.

They're awful, tacky, too busy, gross colors, and putting Gorillaz on there just hammers the final nail. No matter how great your outfit is (even if it's full rick, yohji, ann d, whatever) the shoes will bring them down a peg.

Are the shoes complete garbage? Not if you like them, but don't post them here because we don't.

To be fair I expected some harsh criticism, I checked the sticky and there was no specific mention of converse. I got exactly what I came for, next time I'll buy more understated shoes.
