Just go to a club, look for a girl that is dancing by herself, and start grinding her. Also, this sometimes works with a group of friends, just make sure they're all dancing because if they're talking and you try to dance on them that's a big no-no.

If you just want to impress girls (or guys), learn to glide, pop and c-walk. Pretty simple and usually a sure shot, assuming you aren't a social cripple.

Depends on what kind of music playing, dancing has to be appropriate to the music and the venue. That being said, you can use alot of the same moves across many different styles by changing how you articulate it.

Knowing how to partner dance and how to lead a follow can be really impressive even with rock, electronica, or pop. If you can do it you can make a girl who is an indifferent dancer feel like they can really dance and you have physical contact, a shared activity and you demonstrate confidence.

You don't have to be a particularly fancy dancer, in fact it can work against you because it may intimidate other girls or she may get to tired, dizzy or sore to dance with you anymore. Keep it simple but keep the beat well and only use a few trick moves.

Just lift some of the arm patterns and change the timing so it isn't as spastic. I'm mostly about footwork so having a few upper body patterns evens it out.

It's hard to say because most of my moves are hybrids from different styles and individual moves I liked and copied. I use alot of modified swing moves and salsa hand changes. My general base is swing dance but I modify my step patterns, timing, hip and shoulder movements, the abruptness of my movements, etc. depending on the genre.

Everybody in here saying they B-Boy, that shit is utterly useless in clubs. It makes people uncomfortable (the girls you want to dance with will be afraid to dance with you), people get jealous (in a bad way) and you end up getting dirty as fuck on the nasty floor. Just learn to pop, pop and lock, quick-step, shuffle, and groove to the music. Also, a tasteful front grind with some bachata as the other guy described works well for slower songs.

I'm primarily a Latin dancer that specializes in Salsa dancing, but I'm experienced and proficient with multiple forms of dance. I've won awards and regularly showcase dances.

The state of dance at clubs is quite sad at the moment, as the majority hardly have any formal training, therefore a vast amount of people at clubs just WANNA DANCE FASSST rather than maintain rhythm.

I usually end up counting for girls when I dance with them to keep them on rhythm, some of them get butthurt, and I tell them I don't wanna dance with some 3-legged orangutang.

If you want to learn to dance, you can easily head into a club and have some qt teach you but please take formal lessons at least once so I don't end up looking down on you. (just kidding, you should take lessons so you can reach the best you can be)

If you want to get good at dancing I highly recommend Salsa, especially if you're interested in Latin dancing because salsa has many roots in multiple forms of latin dance and once you learn Salsa, the rest is really easy. Also you learn how to truly lead your partner if you're a man - that's extremely crucial.

For all the men out there, nothing get's a woman drier than the mojave than a man who cannot lead or is very weak on his lead. My best advice when it comes to leading is treat the women as your ragdoll, they're dancing for you.

You get used to it, I'm not big on latin music either.

I listen mainly to japanese music like Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, Number girl, Pillows, and other shit like swans. Soooo.... that's way far off from Latin music, yet I can still find my rhythm just fine.

Like I said earlier though, my best advice is for you guys to take one class of Salsa dancing at your local college or wherever you can find. Then after you take that class head out to a club (if you're in LA I know plenty) That single class will put you far ahead of anyone in the club with no formal training because you will learn recovery, rhythm, and the fundamentals.

Holy hell some of these dances look cool. I've seen the Nathan Barnett video about 6 times, and I think I have some of his moves down.
