Some kind of light, khaki, vaguely safari-esque shirt is probably your best bet with color choices like that. The suggestion of utility in your cargo shorts can be mirrored in a rough hewn safari shirt. I know Ben Sherman did a few utility shirts in khaki with western snaps and those little tabs in the arm that hold your rolled up sleeve.
If you go after a shirt in the right textile, it can be wrinkled or creased from wear without affecting your look negatively.

i tailor part time and yes, it is possible.

a trim off the sleeves with no buttons will be a lot cheaper than say, the tailor ripping the seams by the shoulders and shortening it that way. it's more complicated and sometimes, really frustrating depending on the material.
