Are they actually raw? All denim fade. Raw denim hasn't been industrially washed, so it retains a lot of the color that was used to dye it. When you wear your jeans, the indigo dye will rub off gradually, giving you fades and wear marks that are custom to your body.

putting them in the freezer over night usually does the trick for me. Also, shake then out regularly, and when youre not wearing them turn them inside out and hang them up so they can breath.

also, what kind of stain do you want to get out? the very nature of denim fabric works dirt out itself as you wear it, thats why it was initially so popular as a workwear fabric.

I've never had a problem with my raws getting stained. the only thing i can imagine being a problem is grease/oil stains. in that case, just spotclean them with cold water and try to rub out the stain

Isn't it a little weird to obsessively count days until washing? I say when they really smell or get dirty, wash them. If not, hold out as long as you can.

I don't remember where I read it, but there was an article with a guy who had three pairs of the same jeans, each washed with different frequencies. Even between the two extremes (almost never washing and washing after every 2 or 3 wears or something) there wasn't a huge difference in fades. It was visible, and with more washing came less contrast, but it sort of defeats the purpose when you have a certain look you're aiming for. why not just use sandpaper then?
