if you're going to wash regularly at least do it with some consideration. don't just throw them in the wash with hot water and then into the dryer.

but to answer your question: yes. Higher end jeans really are worth the price, even if you're only going for the 100-200 dollar range.

And the more you wash them the more subtle the fades will look. They'll still fade over time, but it'll be softer/with less contrast

You can get significant fading without washing at all, but for most people the fading won't be that noticeable until you wash it the first time when all that loose indigo gets knocked away. The more you agitate the jeans while washing the more indigo you'll lose as well. So you can just let it sit in a bath with soap or a detergent and see minimal fading or you can agitate it a lot manually or put it in a washing machine and get more noticeable fading
