i saw photographs early in the morning and i thought tumblr users were photoshopping rock stars into the photographs and had some laughs over that

then i learned that it wasn't photoshop, rick actually decided to execute a show like that

i had some respect for him as a designer before, but after this mess i lost most of it. what a joke. there were ways to execute the show well, with the rock musicians, but the lighting sound, and "coreography" of the models was so fucking bad & so fucking distracting the clothes looked shittier than they already were

Once again, I'm going to get hate for my views on Rick Owens and probably another 'you should drop trip' for having an opinion on a 'god'.... but don't you think when a designer consistently has put out complex pieces with a lot of thought and skill put into them, then essentially 'dumbing down' or going very minimalistic in the wake of a new collaboration with a big shoe company, comes across as a bit too self indulgent and reliant on an all-worshipping fanbase? There was a jacket or so I liked, and the fringe skort was rather interesting. But the shoes themselves for the collaboration? They look like stripped down Nike's, and not quite suitable for the function they're intended.
