well the neck is usually wider and its more loose in the chest area. Some sweaters or clothing is for females and accentuates their features, just like mens clothes do theirs.

No. There's crossover, but there are styles that are distinctly cut for men and women with different style codes for each. All women's is RS or DS and all men's styles are RU and DU.
