everything you are wearing like I just said. If you're trying to troll.. I don't get it. Because I'm not mad I'm actually embarrassed for you. You need to lurk a lot and pick up style queues and inspiration from some of the higher end labels posted here and other places. Find blogs etc. Maybe just start with GQ or something to get a basic idea. Just keep it basic and don't try to add your own style until you actually know what you are doing.

And take your proper measurements. Higher quality clothing has better fits.

Ok, ok, ok
We have some work to do here.
Jumper is fine.
Turtleneck is no bueno. It's just way too out of fashion, also looks bad on you.
Hawaiian shirts can only be pulled off by lanky hipster guys.
Your pants look k, but I can't really tell. Stick to dark pants, slim cut, straight leg at the very widest (general rule).
Coat looks bad, but is marginally acceptable. Wear with a flannel, oxford, or not-turtleneck sweater under it. Only wear that jacket until you buy a better one. Harrington or windbreaker-style is a good basic type for beginners, duffle coat for very cold.
I think you would look good in flannels. Easy to pull off, comfy.
In general, keep it very, very simple. At least until you know what you're doing.

Don't buy either of the things you posted. They will be terrible quality. Go to H&M or gap for cheap sweaters while you're still a beginner a this. If you're REALLY broke, old navy is the cheapest you can buy without being noticeably awful to even the plebiest plebs.

rule number one, make sure shit fits you properly. get stuff tailored and start incorporating more tapered clothing into your wardrobe. the coat doesnt fit you properly. the shoulders are the most important part of a piece of clothing since it cannot be tailored without taking the whole garment apart. your coat is sagging at the shoulders and is too big. its winter in australia right now i think, so the turtleneck is fine.

also start getting shit with slimmer sleeves. small wrists and huge sagging sleeves = ugly.

Like others said in this thread. You might want to keep it simple until you lurk a lot of fashion. Slim fit pants, don't wear turtle necks in 2013, just basics. Cop some cheap mondays or dark indigo and black, some sneaks, h&m basics, uniqlo basics. Stick with the jumpers, button downs, oxfords, etc with slim pants. Add your own style in later when you have a good basic wardrobe going and know what you're doing.

Well, I don't really know what you're talking about because mock and turtlenecks have been on fall runways for years now. And since I'm too lazy to actually count it, I'll just go with 30 items.

At the very least (7.50) he would have spent $225.

At the most (25) he would have spent

Of course, that's just me having fun with numbers but that's assuming several things: nothing is more or less than $30-100
he only bought exactly 30 items
