Uh, I don't think so from memory, the patricians are goodyear welted so there's always the break in colors anyway, and there's almost always the brick-red sole. I personally like it, but I can see why it wouldn't be your thing.

Hey /fa/, not a fashion guru even close here, but I want a decent pair of leather shoes/boots. I don't want to look like a cop/military though, something like Dr. Martens, but I'm to believe that Dr. Martens aren't the same quality they once were. Is this true? Also I'd like to not spend a whole lot of money on them, I don't wear my street clothes much. I only really care that they are black and I can use that no buff Kiwi stuff on them to keep them looking good. I was gonna make a thread but didn't want to shit up your board with a newfag thread.
tl;dr: Easy to maintain black leather boots/shoes with quality/appearance on par with late 90's Dr. Martens for a reasonable price.

naw, just bar. It's not too bad, I just laced them with my feet inside and tightened them to where they were comfortable, loosened the top two eyelets a little and then tied knots on the inside to keep them from coming unlaced, then cut off the rest.
