You're better fucking like the music.
Also, Lucky 13 is the standard brand, practically.

I think he means uniform fashion relating to specific subgenres of music.

Good and/or fashionable musicians don't wear uniforms.

I'm just elaborating on the other guys statement, that he does not approve of genre uniforms.

ah, my misunderstanding. I feel the whole style is centered around the pompadour, which is a bummer because i dont see myself getting one

Doesn't have to be a straight up pomp. IMO pomps are really try-hard - like another poster mentioned, a fedora comes to mind. It's a bit cliche.

Really any hairstyle you can slick back reinforces the style. People from that era didn't all have pomps - that's just the "imitate elvis or else" folks. Most had short businessmen's cuts with enough length to slick back with pomade.

It's all pomps, slicked back, side parts, or psychohawks.

If you need don product, OP, use Layrite. It's the fucking shit.
And to add on to the stereotypical greaser list posted above:
>motorcycle boots
>creepers
>chuck taylor's
>bowling shirts
>dickies

I was enganged and was pretty prolific in the rockabilly/psychobilly scene in Portland.

i got a proto-side part right now, thanks for the tips. Is Layrite leave in like Brylcreem?

Never tried brylcreem but if you tried murray' or Dax it has same hold but doesn't get all crusty and hard and it washes out like butter
