Actually the point was that penny loafers like that are extremely hard to find in the UK/Europe.

Loafers in a similar style are made but they are typically with long tongues and are not suited for sockless wear.

Despite what this thread says, I think they're okay. I don't think they're particularly aesthetically pleasing, but they're comfortable, and definitely worth getting due to the one for one scheme.

Then again, they're better looking than a lot of shoes, so if you're considering it, cop a pair for sure.
