How the FUCK do people manage leather jackets in summer? Even going as far as this, she's got to be steaming herself up top, right?

How did you figure out the temperature of her environment when the picture was taken

not at all. lamb and pig are pretty light and the right lining material will make it totally comfortable. tailoring would be a factor too. loosen up the neckline and sleeves and you'd get some air flow.

it depends on what kind of hot we're talking about too. 90 and dry is doable, 90 and wet is horrible, 100 and anything is time to go to the beach.

>> No.6185933

yeah. unless you have an ultra thin white or off white leather that is unlined.

obviously depends on your location. summer in phoenix is different than summer in berlin.

I wear my leather jacket when I go clubbing, feels cooler than when I used to wear a hoodie.

Summer in phoenix is different from everywhere else in arizona lol

(from what I understand, anyway - was only there like a week)

was just an example. i was thinking of where would be the most fucking miserable place to wear leather in the summer, and phoenix popped into my head.

What kind of lining? Any suggestions?

>>6185984
I haven't even tried wearing my actual leather jacket. If it's 25c or so I get hot in a shortsleeve linen blouse while I'm watching people with two layers topped with a leather jacket saunter down the sidewalk.

Twill would prolly be a good lining for a leather jacket, it absorbs moisture pretty well and doesn't stick to your body like synthetics

>> No.6186248

>>6186241

twill is a type of weave. wicking depends much more on the type of fiber in the weave.

mite b 2 heavy and the texture would catch your shirt sleeves and drag em up
imo the best would be a linen with a rly smooth hand in the sleeves and across the shoulders and chest, unlined elsewhere

>> No.6186289

imo, how tight it fits factors in way more than thickness or leather used - my super thin, super close-fitting lambskin obscur jacket is warm as hell (wore it over a thin tee in ~21 degrees celsius today and thought i would die), but last july I strutted around wearing not only a pretty thick perfecto, but also a hoodie underneath, not really feeling uncomfortably warm save for some horrible train rides.

Yeah i mean since its cotton it doesn't get really sweaty but the density of the weave matters too

Also @ what mamma said, hes right too

+I notice that I seem to sweat more near areas where you can detect a pulse, ie chest, wrists, etc

tight clothing in general, if in layers, can get hot as balls even if its lightweight
