i prefer high tops because there's a moderate level of ankle support and they protect your feet a little more from rocks and brush. i keep a pair of lows in my trunk in case i my primarys get wet or we're going dancing.

Okay guys not OP but here's a question.

What are the 'classic' Common Projects to get? I feel like theres a standard that everyone starts with. I think its the low-top achilles but I prefer the mid-top achilles. Do you think mid-tops would be good for summer? I really love the silhouette on the all white mids but in the end I don't know if they're a good starter for common projects

if your calves aren't too much larger than your ankle then I really have a thing for the chukka height shoe especially with shorts.
Go for the highs, they look better with long pants too. For a low cut shoe I wouldn't go with the converse silhouette.

Hi tops are better with pants and Low tops are better with shorts. Honestly to me lo top chucks look like shit and you're better off getting a hi top pair and some other lo top shoe for shorts. Vans actually look better than lo top Chucks.
