My Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Cal. 3861 on a stainless steel 5 link bracelet with the "commander stripe" clasp continues to fill me with joy and an autistic desire to time random things.

Don't the newer 36mm Seiko 5s kinda mog the hamilton khakis and similar field watches? Especially for beaters, they aren't as thin as the handwind mechanicals but they're smaller diameter and still have more complication and they're still easy to read. And they're way cheaper.

>> No.18072461

Let me elaborate a bit. The two on the top tier have it all figured out, everything is great. Even though personally i don't like Rolex that much i like and would wear some of their watches and there is no denying the place Rolex has in the watch game. Lange just make amazing watches and that's about it.
Class tier is a bit hard for me since i'm pretty poor so what is class to me is normal to someone else, but if i were to see someone wear a watch from that tier i would think the person has some class and knows a thing or two about many things.
Cool can either mean a cool brand or some of their watches are cool or the person wearing this watch would be cool. For example i'm a (Grand)Seikofag and i think they're certainly not top tier (they could do much better), they're also not class, but they are cool watches. That doesn't mean that the person wearing a Seiko would be cool, more often than not they wouldn't, but a person wearing a Bvlgari would certainly be cool.
Meh is just meh, for example like the color orange is as opposed to a strong red which isn't meh at all.
Nah is either the brand is so bland i can't remember any of their watches or in the case of Bell&Ross is just nah.
Garbage is self explanatory, Panerai is on the verge of dropping into Hublot if they don't get their shit together soon.
AP as such isn't completely in Hublot, i like the basic RoyalOak actually, but they certainly belong there with what they did with the brand lately.

Yeah I did a bit of research. The lowest end model is the only one without an in house movement and no seal. Not on the case nor the movement. Other 56's that cost 5K more, do have those. I never say these words but this one is indeed a cope watch for someone who isn't poor but not rich either. It's a weird watch that shouldn't exist. you can test the concept by simply using tooth paste. use a small drop and polish in circles in the top right corner with a piece of cloth.

the goal is to generates enough heat to literally melt the surface to the point where it evens out. if it works then do the same for the rest of the scratches.

I just really like purple, and currently just have this Henry Archer nordso which i like but no date is a bit of a bummer. There is this Galvin watch Loimu Tundra using Miyota 9015 movement which is a deeper purple and has an awesome dial but its another microbrand and not sure if its worth the $500 or if i should get a nicer watch like a GS or omega first as my only dressy watch is a black movado.

Yeah the reviews of it i watched/read commented on how good the integrated bracelet was, doesnt have quick adjust and only a bit of micro adjust which is unfortunate. Really bummed the 40mm doesnt come in the lighter colors.

I wish I could find a nice watch for under 600 or so. I am 27 years old and still have no fucking watch because I’ve talked myself into thinking unless I can get the expensive watches I really like, then it’s pointless. I just have so many other things I’d rather spend money on right now; cars, clothes, shoes. I need a watch though so I’m not sure what to consider.

This is actually the right attitude. Too many people waste too much money consoooming when they should be saving.

You're fine with your phone. If you desperately need a watch, get a cheap G-Shock or something.

Once you've got everything else in your life squared away and you still want a watch, get the one you want, not the one you would have settled on when you were 27 and couldn't afford more than 600 dollars.

I like it because its different depending on how the light hits and its a bit hypnotic. I wish i could see one in person. Might just order it and return it if anything feels off, although that can be hard to tell until you wear it and then it's too late.

Get one in good condition if you decide to buy one, it's worth it. The quartz module is built like a tank and can be serviced so the watch can serve you for decades. There were many other 7A28 and 7A38 models in different styles made, so look around, maybe you find something else you like as well.

Are G-Shocks a good buy?
I'm thinking of getting the limited Aurora Oval, at first I thought it was gay due to the rainbow but actually it's kinda cool, the colors remind me of welded steel. I might switch the strap to black though.

I already have more formal watch (Orient), this would be more for outside / travelling, that I don't have to worry about damaging.

>>18078550

It's a Citizen 0100. When they launched the movement, they did a 1 piece pocket watch, and then put the movement into 850 watches (I think the breakdown was 100 gold, 250 mother-of-pearl dials, and 500 black dial). Mine is discontinued, but you could theoretically still get it on the grey market if someone is selling it. Check Chrono24. Amazing watch, but now they've started putting the movement into other watches that have beautiful dials and are less expensive.

It's accuracy is 1 second per year. Fucking awesome...only my Zenith 5011k is more accurate. Get one if you can.

I just want somebody that is durable (for outdoor, travelling, concerts etc) but at the same time looks cool.
I'm not a big fan of the cheap G-Shocks because they look like a toy.
I usually wear mostly black, so I think if I switch the strap to black it should match and the color will just add a bit of accent (like, if I have black boots, black jeans, black leather jacket and this watch, it shouldn't look too gay imo)

I also thought about the Mudmaster but some guy said that the sensors are shit and die after 1 year (like the barometer etc). I'm buying the watch for 5 years at least, or decade. So I need something that will last.

Here's photo I found on reddit that some guy posted with a black strap. Looks less LGBTQ++. Still loud but in a fun way imo. Not too obnoxious.

I also thought about the limited Year of the Dragon edition since I'm born in dragon sign but the "gold" looks extremely cheap irl. It's like plastic. I was very underwhelmed. Shame, I really really wanted to like it, it was the reason why I went down the watch rabbit hole again, since I wanted something for year of the dragon in my wardrobe.

And actually the Aurora pleasantly surprised me, it is much nicer irl than on photos. It has a very nice texture, the "rainbow" is kinda gritty like some kind of crystal, not like a tranny parade flag

I also thought about the City Lights (or City Illumination, there's million different names online), I like how it has a kind of cyberpunk feel to it. But maybe it looks a bit boring as well. It's trying to be colourful but not too much, so it ends up rather shy.
