To me, my entry level luxury watches are a constant reminder that I have made it far, but it is also only the beginning. It's a checkpoint of sorts. To others, a watch might just be nice to have and to look at and a Status Symbol, to others even an investment. To most people out there, watches are useless "my phone tells the time'', and that is the most logical conclusion.

Depends where you live. Where I'm at a basic movement is like $200 cad, so you're often better off replacing Seiko/miyota movements because it's cheaper. That watch uses a miyota 8201 or something which should be easy for watchmaker to service or replace. Just run that bitch to failure and get it fixed when it stops working. How is the bracelet? It looks like it had some sort of ratcheting micro adjust.

Recent trade haul. All shitters, I know, but people are already kicking the tires on the two gold Komandirskies and the Seiko Kinetic, and I also know a guy who'd probably be interested in the Swiss shitter. The Amphibia I might just keep as I only have four Amphibias. Also a guy is coming tomorrow to look at my vintage Seikos.
