I love the aesthetic but I have trouble finding really any clothes that fit the genre. I have a woolen coat and ?fleece? pants but I need more. can you recommend me some stores or some key materials or some shit to search for please

Depends on what do you mean by neofolk ofc. Wool is always good, you can find it second hand pretty easily. Don't know shit about newer stuff.
Normally these threads are full of military surplus, and that's pretty easy to find.
If you don't want military stuff, older outdoors/preppy stuff can maybe work too.
(inbf LARP general, yes what about it)

I literally wear the jacket in pic related near daily in winter/autumn, no one cares. No one cares what you wear, ever.

1. No logos. Why is obvious.
2. Natural materials are the ideal. If you do use synthetics it should be something you can do rural work in. E.g. a wellington boot in a dark/muted colour
3. Take inspo from military looks from the first half of the 1900s without copying them or making a mishmash of milsurp. You can use a few milsurp pieces but the aim isn’t to look like a soldier.
4. An “everyday” neofolk fit. You should be able to conceivably work in your fit (e.g you should be able to turn over a potato patch or go into your chicken run to feed your chickens without being concerned you’ll ruin your clothes).
5. Take inspo from folk costumes without actually wearing what is clearly a folk costume. Integrate elements from them.

6. Have a go at making your own stuff. Going to make a shirt myself. Will post if it goes well.
7. Attempt to try to reject gigantism in all its forms. You should try to source things from your country or even your locality if possible. There’s a reason why this style appeals to nationalists and the rothbardian/hoppean type of libertarian.
8. Brands. There is no such thing as a neofolk brand. There is such thing as a neofolk piece and a neofolk fit. I have found neofolk pieces even in conventional English shops you’d get on the high street. Some things to look out for are:
-Linen shirts
-Dark/subdued colours
-plain/no patterns (unless it’s connected somehow to folk culture or very well established like fair isle patterns)
-long and three quarter length coats
-Avoid jeans in favour of wool, cotton moleskin, or a (dark/understated) tweed
-Chore jackets might work but there’s a certain way of doing it to make sure you don’t look like an urban hipster type.
9. Don’t be fat. Put on some muscle. If you were this style whilst being fat you will ridiculous and we will say “not neofolk.” I lost almost 40kg specifically to dress in this style and it was worth it.
10. Actually do folkish stuff like growing your own food and keeping livestock.
Good luck op :)

All good advice, but to add to it, remember neofolks aesthetic is based on goth/postpunk. Toned down and dark colours are pretty good way to keep in the aesthetic.
Never be fat.

lol you can literally wear a swastika t shirt, nobody is going to do anything, especially not a leftist
>>17877932
cool coat, I'd get one like it but no idea how to style the bottom, I don't like those boots
>rothbardian/hoppean type of libertarian.
Haven't heard of that in years. Since I was an edgy teenager. lol.
