I’m glad you are interested; you must be really eager to get your own place and to decorate it.

Here’s some advice once you have your own place

>buy a quality knife.
>Buy quality bath towels.
>white bedsheets can be bleached/cleaned
>buy the Ryobi stick vacuum
>wool floors + a rug is better than carpet
>don’t buy a washer/dryer combo, get individual machines instead.
>have some basic tools
>buy a flat trolley
>buy furniture from FB market place
>fold out sofas suck as sofas
>always take your shoes off at the door

Hard to say without knowing your whole setup but that looks pretty crummy as a couch. Consider replacing your bed with a good futon or something like picrel or the LC5. Alternatively, you could go more minimalist with a really nice persian rug and pad, low coffee table, free cushions, and have people lounge on the floor.

Yeah it could work but then you need to think about a table if you’re having people over for dinner.

Personally I would be looking at how Jap’s do floor lounges and dining tables as they already design lots of furniture for very small apartments. Also look at Arab style hookah lounges too. Make sure to have a no shoes inside rule though.

Spending time on the floor is kinda nice, it’s like a picnic which bitches love.

It’s kinda crazy but I would go Full Japanese spec because your current set up is really bad.

>Tatami mats throughout.
They are thick, squishy yet easy clean to with a ratan weave

>King size Japanese futon sleeping mattress

>Cream/white bedlinen.

>Warm ambient lighting.

Great thing about Japanese bedrooms Is all of the bedlinen and mattress can be rolled up and put into the wardrobe cupboard leaving you with a open room for multi-use activities.

No rush bro. Hang onto it until you have the funds saved, so you can just order it all at once, and you won't have to sit in an awkward transition phase.

I'd invest in some Egyptian cotton bed linen since it's something that will last you for years. Plus, women really appreciate silk pillowcases as they're better for their skin and hair, this encourages them to stay over more.

Look at Facebook Marketplace for secondhand lighting, particularly IKEA stuff. Make sure to use the specific name of the product too.

Make sure to enforce a no-shoes-inside rule. It's not difficult to use a stick vacuum once per day for daily maintenance for 5 minutes.

Unrelated, but another great investment is a cheap metal/plastic stool in the shower. It's great for just chilling for a moment under the warm water. It's also way more hygienic to have the shower be the designated jerkoff spot. It's great having a steamy warm room to do it in, bros. *Chef's kiss*

Get a bed board, and maybe paint the ceiling cavity. Get some art work which you feel represents you best.

In colour psychology High contrast colours (far right column) are preferred by men on average, and women prefer softer pastels shades (left column). At the moment your bedroom would not be liked by women.

Man, that's very bland. I wouldn't do a dresser unless you really need one. Bookshelf or an interesting chair in the corner would add a lot. As would a large painting sharing the color scheme established with your bedding. Putting up a painting like that should be like getting a tattoo... make sure you've thought it out and it's something deeply meaningful. If you want to do plants you'd need to move your bed and get a low credenza to put below the windows.

I like idea of a chair in the corner and a bed board. Beige core seems interesting.

Rennaissance paintings are generally going to have a warmer tonality than the colors you've established, but something neoclassical or academic would fit well... look up Alma Tadema.

Getting a large, skillfully executed original painting of this type would be very expensive. Your options from least to most expensive would be poster print, print to canvas (be very careful), or commissioning an artist for an original work.

Not sure what your budget is but I would plan at least 1k for a nice statement chair and 1k for a good framed piece of art.

Anyone know any good guides how to light a room? Living in a shared flat so i got one room i have to use as office(desk-good clean light/livingroom reading area(passive red-yellowish) and it's hard to find anything on that. I relly dont want to use anything like the usual ikea LEDs. Might have to sketch my room so you can play around with it a bit. Size is 3m height and +-25m2

Think about what kind of enviroment you'd feel the most relaxed in and you'd like to sleep and chill for a week or two. Then try to imitate it in the general aesthetic and feeling.
Grandmas house? Hotel room? In the sky on top of a cloud? Bottom of the ocean? Tree house in a forest? Secret glitter cave? Princess dream castle? Modern high rise in a neon heavy futuristic city?
Go wild.

Suggestions on what to do with the left and right walls? I'm thinking of putting a warm coloured painting on the left or possibly a brass barometer there and on the right I am playing with the idea of installing a sheer curtain all along the wall to give it a comfy feel. Not visible in the photo is a blackout curtain on the window right behind me, a small closet, a dark grey sheepskin rug and the door out.

Lighting your apartment blue will interfere with your sleep, but if you insist, LED strip lighting on the floor architraves. Projector light systems are epic if you can mount them on a high shelf or the ceiling.

>>17848231
I'd go for curtain walls as they will definitely help with the acoustics, although it might be difficult to keep clean if you have pets

>>17847382
>Cleaning Phase:
First things first, you need to be good at cleaning to pass. Hire a wet carpet extraction machine, clean all the vents, architraves, take the glass off the oven door, take the toilet seats off, clean the inside of cupboards, and clean the window/door jambs. Look at every single spot where dirt could be hiding and YouTube how to clean it. If you do it gradually over 3 days as your stuff has been moved, you'll be good.

Automotive degreaser, white eraser sponges, gumption, vinegar, bleach, microfibre rags, squeegees are great.

>Document fraud Phase:
Get Adobe Photoshop/Acrobat, ask around if you know anyone who's been sent a bond cleaning invoice and use it as a template. change the phone number to a friend. (80% of the time, they won't call them)

I’ve done this three times and never had an issue.
