As for black combat boots, can't go wrong with Paramemes. I returned my pair though after I realized black shoes go with literally nothing that I like, I want to get color 8 cordovan pair of combat boots (or whatever you call the color in picrel) but haven't cared to look what to buy.

Docs are shit, but are cheaper and often go on big sales. They look just as retarded and the quality is the same if not arguably better, considering solotrash have literally no stock without flaws, so if you really want a gay boot like that you can buy docshitters on sale and be way better off.

Docs and Solovair aren't really as equivalent as you're implying by mentioning them together like this. Solovair's manufacturing process is better, and the materials are better. Everything Dr. Martens makes is low-tier mall trash. Even their Made in England line is nothing but a name at this point really. Solovair's are serviceable and long lasting, and they don't use synthetic materials (except that vegan trash that so many shoemakers seem to feel they have to make now).

In my head they're kind of in the same category, since they're effectively the same boot just in different time frames (i.e. a Solovair is in my head what a DM would be in the 60s/70s), but yes, new docs are a lower build quality now. It's a shame.

The traditional skinhead look was close-fitting pants pulled up tight with braces (suspenders). Usually, people would cuff those pants to show off their well-polished boots. I wouldn't tuck them into the boots myself, especially with a looser pant, but I guess that's personal preference.

Anytime, friend. If you want more info, I'd recommend downloading a copy of Spirit of '69: A Skinhead Bible. It's easily found online (libgen etc), and it's an easy read with lots of details about the style and the history of the movement from someone who lived through it.
