I'm sick of it. Most hair stylist are hacks learning on the job and don't know how to cut hair or they know how to cut hair but get lackadaisical when they realize you're a frequent customer who's not going anywhere.

Anybody have experience cutting their own hair? Any guides, tips, or tools I should acquire before I take a stab at it? I think the only difficult part would be giving myself an even fade.

The only thing similar is the fade. The broccoli is usually just a fade with a messy perm on top. The haircut I shown clearly has product in his hair with strands of hair hand twisted and dragged to the front.

I only ever had one barber who cut my hair properly in my whole life.
Went back a month later and the place he worked had gone out of business (it was in a mall).
Lucky me nobody around here cares much about hair and noone else has nice hair either.

Depends on the haircut you are going for. But you absolutely need at a minimum a decent pair of scissors, mirror system so you can see what you are doing.

Tried it all. Cutting my hair, because I wanted to try it. That was fun. For that, look at youtube tutorials.
Cutting my hair, because I was frustrated with me barber. That was shite.
Going to a okay or good salon telling them exactly what I want, preferably with a pic. Gold standard.
Going to a really good salon and they give you just the perfect haircut based on some vague, retarded gibberish you manage to stutter. Very comfy.
