What do I need to care for my boots?
>Old cotton t shirt (one for cleaning, another for applying conditioners)
>Horsehair brush ($10-15)
>Wooden shoe trees ($10-15)
>Light conditioner like Lexol/Bck4
>Heavy conditioner (if you live in terrible snow/rain areas) Sno seal/Obernauf LP
>Don't forget that boots need time to dry properly, rotate them and don't wear them daily for too long

How do I deal with x stain?
>mud: allow it to dry then brush off
>salt: water and cloth as soon as possible
>saturated wet: allow the boot to dry for a full day, stuff with newspaper
>scuffs and scratches: buff vigorously with horsehair brush

>Should I buy turdsdays/soloshits/doc shitans?
No they are filled with synthetic materials aimed at instant comfort but will not hold up to actual use.
>b-b-but muh ecelebs on youtube said they're good
no. you will waste your time and money and still have uncomfortable footwear at the end of the day. spend the extra $100 and get something real.

That's what I was thinking. Problem is that my feet are so fucking wide that I wear a size 12E normally, but I sent in my shit and the dude calls me and says "yeah, nah, go down to Red Wing and send me the digital sizing" and then both the guy at Red Wing and the other dude got confused as fuck. Apparently, I'm a 9.5 FF (EEEE) and my feet are in the top .5% of widths. My "instep girth" is off the charts.

Which is strange, since my cock is a little under 8 inches but of average girth. My feet, in comparison, are chodes. I haven't worn a 9.5 shoe since elementary school, so I'm a bit nervous shelling out this much cash only for them to try to fuck me over. I figured I'd get the custom bounty hunter boots and just a pair of semi-dress in my regular size and see how I like them. Or vice-versa. I'm still trying to decide, I dunno which would be the better idea.

Not sure if you've ordered this yet but here are my thoughts regarding ordering White's boots.
>Horsehide
You really don't want this desu. It's really expensive and it's not really worth it; you don't even know if you've gotten the right size here
>no celastic
very good choice
>Top rolled
Not worth it - most think it looks better without.
>Pull loops
Don't buy these unless you going bigger than 8" boots. They're just annoying because at 6" your jeans will bunch up and catch on the loop.
>Leather liner
Necessary for horsehide, usually omitted for most other leathers (and again, isn't really necessary).
> All Antique Eyes
Get hooks too; only eyes is a pain.
> Heel base
Looks weird on the 55 last so get cuban.
> Heel lift: 1/4-inch lower
Don't do this because it looks weird.
>Sole: Vibram 430
Good choice
>Leather half slip
you don't need this; you have wide feet but you haven't mentioned having crazy arches.
> Mismatch sizes
Are you 100% sure about this? It makes reselling the boots if you ordered the wrong size impossible.

Couple of other things to consider:
- Your build is essentially an MP boot, but on the 55 last; are you sure you don't actually want White's MP instead? (pic related). I find the 55-last boots to be a bit too Americana-LARPy looking and if all you want is some decent fitting boots for the office/shitposting you probably don't need the 55-last unless you really want that arch support.
You can also get combo lasts from White's if you ask for it (where the toe width and heel width are different); I have this and it helps the fit immensely.

Any other questions just ask,

Okay I have a question about brands.
I've been recommended Iron Rangers a couple of times for a good entry-level boot. That's fine and good, they look spectacular
Today, I was in a shoestore that I get a modest work discount in (about 5%) and noticed some brands that I haven't heard of before, and an archive search only shows their names come up a couple of times. Like Chippewa boots that are $100 cheaper than rangers, but look almost the same. Or Wolverine 1000 mile boots. Is there a catch to these? I don't see many people talk about them. Same thing with dress shoes.
A google search shows Chippewa discontinued their heritage line. Is there a reason or does that make these boots actually super rare and I should snap them up if they're in my size?

Anyone know about work boots?
Company is reimbursing me up to $150 for boots. I could either buy two pairs of Wolverines or buy one pair of Irish Setters. Wat do?

I DESTROYED picrel in about three months. Put on a ton of mileage, sliced up by brush & briar, knee deep in water and thick mud every day. I’m not a pussy so I literally walk through everything.

The timbs just aren’t up to the task. My feet are starting to hurt. I don’t want to destroy Red Wings in three months so I think alternating two pairs every day is the way to go. But I also want to get something I like and Wolverines are ugly,

You will not find useful advice here with your obviously retarded questions. Go look for older welted leather military surplus boots, and take care of them. You can often find a pair for around the amount you have, as you cannot buy a 'decent' CONSUMER 'shoe' with what is provided. Get a milsurp boot, welted and stitched, and use the money for next year to resole the pair. I wuld personally suggest a pair of the Austrian KAZ-03 boots. You can find them for very cheap, and they are very high quality. As a bonus, they are welted and the sole is vulcanized afterwards. Wax them, and wear them with wool socks.

Here's my opinion as someone from San Antonio: Justins are an old boot brand, but they're like Levi's jeans in that their quality can vary greatly from boot to boot. Tony Lamas are also an old established brand, but they have a bit more consistent quality. I have never heard nor seen Jama or Loblan boots, and I've worn cowboy boots for a little over as decade.

As for style, here is what I have observed: Square toe is popular with guys my age, from teenagers to upper thirties/forties. Round toe is more universal, in that its worn from the youth to old timers, as both work boots and dress boots. For the snip or pointy toes, three kinds of people wear them here: rockers, Mexicans and old timers. Mostly I'v seen them on Mexicans, with a smattering of people between their later 60s and geriatrics who wear that boot because it was popular in the 50s and 60s.

Finally, some notes on buying: first I would say try them on, because their is no consitent sizing cross the board and each brand fits differently. boots tend top run a little smaller that your show size. For example, I'm a 11.5 to 12 US in lace up shoes and boots: in cowboy boots I am between a 10.5 and 11 depending on the maker. You'll want the boots to be tight at first, the leather will mold to your feet's shape especially if the boot has a leather sole. It really needs to be tight across the talus area. Besides that, you will probably need to wear them around your house at first to get use to the heel: the higher heels are a bit harder to get use to if you've never worn them before. If you can, try to find one with a roper heel; unfortunately in that selection I did not see any that had one unforunatly.

To cap off my wall of text: always wear your jeans over your boots, unless you want to be called a faggot. Hope some of this helps and isn't just pointless rambling.
