I've had a ruckus for a long time but outside of a really dense city it isn't that practical. The trail 125 is like 80lbs heavier than the ct110 and ct90 though and not much faster, plus the older ones just look a lot more lean to me, but maybe the chunkiness of the new one has more of a lunar lander look to it, if that's what you like. I have a ruckus and a tw200 but I do miss the sweet spot of having a c90.

I have a ruckus, the old 70's rebel, and a new tw200, and i regret buying the tw the most. no kickstart on new models and the seat height is way too high and the giant wheels make it a lot heavier than it feels like it should be. make sure to try one out before you commit

Well, I guess this is what we get for giving the style a name heavily associated with motorcycles.
For all the /o/frens in here, the point of the motorcycles in that first thread were really just for outfit inspiration. Don't know how it got misconstrued into this whole ordeal, but the motorcycle is just an accessory to the various outfits, not a central element of the actual style.
It's been included because the style was supposed to be a dressed up, more fashion-conscious version of the usually randomly assembled yet occasionally interesting outfits you see on southeast asian motorcyclists/scooterists.

I work 16 hours a day outside, it's 95 in the summer and -12 in the winter, 40 minutes to get there. Honda sold the cub with a heel-toe shifter so that businessmen didn't have to scuff their shoes shifting up, and so women could ride in heels. bōsōzoku is quite literally the antithesis of form follows function. Personally I'd like to try to post a variety of stuff because generally what happens is if you post too much boso people start crying about weebs and shit. Form doesn't follow function

designs that inspire create functional pieces that are also interesting to look at. We already have a pretty good understanding of what protective gear is needed, what makes gear comfortable and easy to use but as time has gone on moto gear has only become more boring and homogenous as far as aesthetics go. Most of the stuff posted here is normal clothing with a motorcycle on the side. I really want to push that moto style is different, people don't just wear moto clothing as everyday clothing. It's generally inconvenient, loud, bulky, muli coloured multi textured and heavy.

Moto clothing can look really wild, just like motorcycles can look crazy and have tons of styles and colours when compared to cars.

you know what I can respect that a lot. One of the things I do really dislike is how modern day moto gear companies are just trying to make moto gear that looks like regular clothes but with safety features built in because you just end up with poor quality regular clothing thats more annoying to wear

I guess my issue with your stance is that in many of the cultures that are iconic for motorcycling, greaser culture, harley culture, mods, boso, these people wore essentially regular clothes that were modified slightly to meet motorcycling needs and that generally these needs were not as severe as needing a full protective suit with full face helmet and knee high boots. If you take a guy in jeans/rider jacket/gloves/riding boots off a motorcycle they'll still look moto

to me the entire point of these threads are to take creative liberty with this idea and bring interesting new combinations onto that same idea. You see normal clothing with motorcycle on a side because there is no established culture for what this is, which in my opinion is fine

I guess my main gripe with what you want to push is that it is a very narrow idea on top of what is already such a broad style

Very based anon. I've been looking into those mid sized minibikes too. Fuckin $1000 bike with like $200-500 in mods and it's a real fun thing. Plus great to attach racks and bags to for going on trails and shit.
Another option I've been considering is getting an old honda three wheeler and converting it to a bike. I've wanted a fatcat or Yamaha big wheel for ages, but they're rare as fuck compared to those deathtrap three wheelers. Plus there's already a decent community of guys who do conversions regularly so it's not hard to do.
