You don't understand. If your watch doesn't have at least 100m water resistance with a screw-down crown, you can't even safely wear it in humid weather. Water will easily get past the seals.
That's why Rolex doesn't make anything that's not at least 100m WR with a screw-down crown.

Rolex controls the supply of their new watches and the waiting list is now part of their marketing strategy so I can't Imagen prices dropping below original level. But the real reason why they are so expensive is that all Rolexes look the same. They don't follow design trends and keep their value over time. This makes them a good investment asset. And being an investment asset makes them not immune to speculation. So what I really want to say is, you can't predict Rolex prices the Bublé will burst one day.

Modern one is the 35mm one, yep. I actually have two PRX-style Seastars and they are slightly different in size as well actually (literally a 1-1.5mm difference or so), which is very strange as I assumed they were all 35mm as well. I'd post a picture of them side by side but I doubt it'd even be noticeable in photos. They actually have some other noteworthy differences as well, like the electronics module being decorated in the slightly bigger one, where it isn't in the smaller one, the dial having such minor differences you'd not notice it at first glance, and the folding clasp of the bracelet being (again) very very slightly different. Very weird, as all of the changes are things nobody would even notice at first glance.

Here's another one of my 70's Seastars I had to completely overhaul after it suffered a pretty horrific battery leak courtesy of its previous owner. This one has a Tissot in-house 2030 movement, where the pre-prx's have a 2031. The one in parts on the table is the one I posted here which now works nicely: >>17332156

No. Buying a Casioak already shows you're confused. The AP isn't desirable because it's an octagon, and the Casioak doesn't become magically good mimicking the shape of the AP.

Doing a metal conversion just continues to show you're sexually confused. At that point you might as well just buy a fake and start taking hormones.

Buy a shitter and love it as a shitter, then get a decent watch when you can.

>42mm+ watches are a psyop, its ugly and stupid
They're a LARP.
42mm is fine when needing to read the time is vital to staying alive, like when you're underwater or flying a primitive aircraft, like those 47mm divers from WW2 or 50mm pilot's watches; however, even those men wore discreet watches in their everyday lives.

Wearing a dive watch with a suit doesn't mean you're a man of action, it means you wish you were James Bond, a fictional character.

Even then, mist dive watches were like 39-40mm back when people actually used them (barring the ww2 panerai you mentioned, the ploprof and tuna cans). Also pilot watches are a meme. The only ones that arent a meme are a flieger, santos dumont, and pic related (tiny).

>> No.17332638

>>17332630
The WWII fliegers were 50-55mm. They were colossal. (Granted, they were also intended to be worn on the outside of a flight suit's sleeve.)

The 39mm dive watches you're talking about actually came later. The original dive watches were 42mm or larger. Once the public started wearing them, they came down in size, because the public at the time still thought a 42mm watch was silly.
Plus, those smaller dive watches weren't for serious divers either. They were for splashing around in the ocean, snorkeling. That's why they were also called skin divers.

All milsubs and comex subs were 40mm, until the sea dweller came out. Joking about someone’s dead pet is a line nobody should cross, hell even hitler had the utmost respect for dogs. Being a dick to a /fa/bro that just lost his dog is like the shittiest thing you can do. I get that you’re black and are probably accustomed to being able to do anything you want without consequence, but still man don’t be such a fag. Either way bro sorry, been there. Nothing about seiko as a brand appeals to me. If Walmart sold automatic watches, I feel like seiko is the brand they would carry and seiko would do a bunch of exclusive color ways only to be sold in Walmart’s. The brand is just so diluted with so many different variants that none of them seem special to me and most of them seem pretty ugly desu. People that don’t know anything about watches will own a seiko so why not go for something a little more off the beaten path when we have so many options these days.
