Guys wtf do I do, just received my 2 frags from across the world (fucking New York) and they GAVE ME A WOMAN FRAGRANCE INSTEAD OF MY MANLY SMELLY TED LAPIDUS.
AAAAAAAAAA FUCKING BURGERS, CAN'T HAVE SHIT IN EUROPE

Now, you all know the brand, this bottle costs exactly 5 times more than my frag what do I do?
Do I gift this to my gf ( without lying, I can't live with that)? Doesn't smell bad. But I want my fucking Lapidus.
If I contact them will I have to return it if I want my frag? Any chance they'll let me keep it and send me the right one free of charge? Or just refund me? What do they usually do?
I don't think anyone would buy it from me

Didn't know they were based in the US, overall they had the best prices considering I wanted TLPHS and most stores don't have it. It was the best deal. It's weak and doesn't have the strong opening I experienced in one store, it has the drydown clean from the start, like most stroes I tried it at. Not unexpected but hoped for the best considering it's a tester.
Never bought anything from the states before, first time and they fuck it up, bravo Biden.

Yeah but bear in mind women frags always have lower ratings than men frags on forums cause girls are way harsher with ratings for some reason.

I'm wearing it now, it's not bad at all, clearly feminine, soft, white floral, smells exactly like the colour of the bottle: light pink, soapy and powdery. very delicate, doubt it perform beastly. Would most probably not pay 110 bucks for it, but for 20? a great cheapie haha.

so you say I ghost them after I receive Lapidus or something? damn I really don't want to get sued by a big corp

Nah im saying make it clear its their mistake and their problem to fix. No need to be hostile or anything. Just say you got something you didn't order and want the bottle you ordered, they should just send it. Hopefully they wont even bother asking for it back. If they demand it back then i dunno, tell them you don't need to return unsolicited goods and ask for a refund for the bottle you didn't receive.

you would think so, ganymede has been genuinly my MOST COMPLIMENETED fragrance ever, and it has also been the only fragrance that felt like an actual needle mover when it came to dating, whilst other fragrances can add 0.25 - 0.5 if you had to put them on a scale, they complete the look, set the mood etc. Ganymede felt like it added 1.0 maybe even 1.25, which for just a fragrance is fucking ridiculous, and because of those experiences it boosted my confidence even more. i mean, i'd say most guerlains and chanels are at least on the same level as essential parfums in terms of material/production. but i had thought that the point of BI in terms of pricing is that you get something "niche", in the sense that it's not available in your local stores, for designer-price.

>I've been wanting to sample Montabaco yeah.
give intensivo a shot if it's feasible at all; in a sense you can think of it as paying for a 100ml bottle, since for extraits you can cut down the number of spritzes by at least half. i.e., i tend to go 4-6 spritz of BI but 2-3 spritz of Montabaco Intensivo, since it's so strong.

>intensivo
I will try it out. When it comes to tobacco frags I've only ever tried The Dreamer and Jazz Club, liked both, I'm thinking I should also sample Chergui. I'm trying to avoid scents that are too weird or too much of an acquired taste, the point for me is also to smell attractive.

yes, I fully agree with you here and it's the main reason I own a bottle too. When I think of my own fragrance collection, then Montabaco Intensivo is definitely by second pick when it comes to this - ambers are not conventional in summer, fougeres require certain formal attires etc..

>>17234113
>The Dreamer and Jazz Club, liked both, I'm thinking I should also sample Chergui
don't be fooled by the "tabaco"-in the name of the fragrance; it's not your generic tobacco-fragrance primarly - it's much more light, airy, woody interpretation of a tobacco fragrance. chergui is nice, but I think there are about 10 different amber/tobacco fragrances before I'd buy it. it's definitely a "warm" fragrance, if that's what you are looking for the winter.

>I'm trying to avoid scents that are too weird or too much of an acquired taste
yes, this is also a strength of BI for sure, and also shared by Montabaco Intensivo imo. i'd say dreamer or jazz club are much more controversial when it comes to "general opinions".

but now i feel like i've shilled my recent favourite too much, so feel free to have some second opinions, as well.

well, I feel like Serge Lutens is your second step on your fragrance journey, after going through the generic designer stuff. so this of course depends on your own taste and how deep you are in the rabbit hole, so maybe I gave a little wrong advice - go for chergui first and then expand from there. but when I think of tobacco-fragrances, they are stuff like memory motel, tobacco rose or tabac dore, where the tobacco is the prominent note - as for chergui and jazz club they are mainly ambers.

>Yeah, something warm to contrast BI's freshness would be nice.
then try one of the "thicker" ambers, such as chergui or ambre khandjar

>Jazz Club though is really inoffensive and generic sexy imo.
I haven't smelled it in years but I don't recall it being a flexible or wearable fragrance. and just as with side effect, probably majority like the overly sweet combination of tobacco into vanilla and rum, but must be off-putting to some. but sure, it's on the more "likeable" side of frags, I guess.

I sold a bunch of impulse buys and cheapies I only kept these 5. Little by little I will continue my collection from here, I will try to sample more niches too since I sold some that I bought blindly - big mistake.

>CH Men Privé
It is a bottle from 2015, first batch. Lasts +12h. The current formulation is not worth it, it lasts less than a Zara perfume and has less character. I never understood why they call it a "bad boy fragrance", to me it seems very tender and comfortable kek. a bad boy would smell like Gucci Guilty Absolute. And yes, it works very well with women.

>Lalique Hommage a l'Homme
The best Lalique fragrance together with EN Sport. Very similar to Fahrenheit although a bit more soapy. It only cost me 11€ and it is my best blind purchase.
It makes me feel formal, and like a father who has 5 children and goes to church every Sunday. Great with a white shirt.

>Chanel Allure Edition Blanche
Totally destroyed by Chanel's reformulations, it lasts 3 hours. But it's still one of the best designer fragrances I've ever smelled.

>JeP Neroli Intense
Yes, /fa/ forced me to buy it. I have used it a lot this summer to go to work and have received positive comments even though I stop smelling it after an hour. Cheap and nice.

>Dunhill Century
I love it, similar to Santal 33 but a little bit more mature, clean and masculine. A lot of neroli, sandalwood and cypriol. You can feel the quality both in the bottle and in the smell

Honestly, at the price they have and their performance, I do not recommend buying either of them.

Blanche basically smells like vanilla, vetiver and lemon, think in a lemon pie. It is less versatile than the extreme but in terms of smell it seems better to me and less generic

The extreme is a powdery mentholated mandarin with creamy woods and a lot of tonka. i know, sounds weird but i cant describe it better. More mature than the Blanche, extremely versatile for the whole year and occasion, today both have the same duration but before the extreme was a beast.

If you want a fragrance for spring-summer buy Blanche, if you want a fragrance for the whole year, to please others and night-time, Extreme.

You can try HM by Hanae Mori if it is sold in your country, even blind buy, it is a very cheap fragrance and with a vibe similar to Blanche.

Ok lads, I’m going to honest with you. I am one of the BI “shills”. I haven’t been here for a while but there were several of us. I wast just doing it for shits and giggles. I just thought it was funny to make some anons angry. I also though it was funny that some anons ordered a sample/full bottle because of me. I can’t really say that I was trolling because I was being sincere and everything I wrote was true.

Don’t get me wrong. I wear BI every day and it’s my signature scent. It is ridiculous how many compliments it has gotten me, but to be honest I don’t even like it. I don’t understand why people love it so much but they do.

Glad I god that off my chest. It was fun while it lasted but I’m leaving this place because I’m seeing a girl and we are exclusive. I decided to not spend as much time on the internet. And no, BI is not the reason why she likes me, but yes she told me that I smell really good so I guess it was a factor in the equation.

So yeah godspeed faggots, you are all going to make it. I believe in all of you (even the salty faggots who hate BI). This will be the last you hear of me. Fair well. Pip pip cheerio

Wait, I shit on L'Oreal a lot but not because of Bleu Electrique. Performance for the LNDL frags was always poor but LNDL BE lasts long on clothes for me.

I shit on them because I know what they did to AdG Profumo. That stuff was room-filling and my gym reeked of it. You could smell it outside the doors. I ordered a bottle of the stuff when I smelled it at a store and immediately realized that this was the gym stank, purely because it was so powerful. What I received was merely a shadow of Profumo. Over the coming months, the Profumo smell in my gym subsided. I thought the usual people in there had stopped wearing it, but when you come closer to them, you can still smell it. They just have gotten new bottles, too.
Same thing with Spicebomb and Spicebomb Extreme. My uncle was an avid Spicebomb wearer, nuclear projection. He still wears it, but his original bottle ran out. Could literally only smell him once since and it was because we were sitting next to each other at a family gathering. My bottle of SBE is properly weak. I had that stuff on the back of my hand after a store visit and it was really strong. Waited for a sale (took a while), bought a bottle. Sprayed it on my hand the same way, and it became a skin scent quickly.

Overall, I have no nuclear L'Oreal stuff anymore, besides my bottle of Pure Havane, which has been discontinued. They've discontinued all the strong stuff or watered it down. Meanwhile when I go shopping at other designer houses, I somehow receive strong and long-lasting bangers.

SOTD L'Air du Desert Marocain, of which I still need to order a full bottle. If that stuff doesn't match the sample in performance, may God have mercy on Tauer's mailbox.

Gentle Fluidity Silver smells really generic to me. It's a good frag, seems very versatile and wearable all year round, it's soft, classy, fresh and masculine. But at that price point I expected something more interesting. It reminds me of a popular designer frag whose name I forgot.
BR540 is pretty nice but not as good as the hype makes it seem. It's more feminine than masculine imo, and it does seem to have good projection. Not a huge fan of the saffron but it might smell better on a girl.

That's not really my gripe with them.
