The mido ocean star

It really seems that its a tit for tat between the two. At least to myself it seems so. The Mido really does offer more for function and I really do enjoy having a minute dial rather than hour. But the overall metal work of Monta regarding case sizing, the bracelet, and the indices outdoes Mido. The Tudor BB GMT doesnt really fall on my radar though either. I would rather have either the Mido or Monta if not both for the price of the 2door.

I have decided to quit Reddit due to many different reasons. Mainly due to the horrible writing styles and their upvote system. It hides anythigg by that goes against the grain.

Furthermore Back in the day, good writing meant it was a goal to make sentences short. As I have grown older this rule has served me well, especially as it relates to technical writing. An outlet like 4chan seems to be great for that.

In conclusion I want to welcome my new community, my name is Steve. I have also always want to say the n word which I believe is allowed here. So I’m going to say it.

But that's just the showroom phenomenon. Go back, try it on again and you'll begin acclimating, noticing the finer points. I did, and all because I know myself and know that sooner or later I'm going to purchase an SMP300 and 3861 and that I'll end up thrilled with them. Omega is a brand that simple does not produce s*** watches, at least in current times. Even if you don't notice the quality during your first encounter, you probably will on the second and will be worshipping your new GADA after a month.

Contrast that with a brand like TAG, which is mediocre on the first visit, mediocre on the second visit and probably mediocre on the third although I don't think anyone ever goes back a third time. I actually purchased an Aquaracer 41 a few years back, against my better judgment during a drunken bender after getting a bonus at work. When it arrived, I took it out of the box and examined it for ten minutes. Disgusted, I put it away. The next morning I took it out again for another ten minute examination. I put it back in the box and went to my office computer to request a refund. Even at GM price, paying $1700 for a $700 watch just rubs me the wrong way.

TAG isn’t overpriced, especially considering the deals you can make with an AD to get one. The problem has always been with all the watches in that price range: you can get a Tudor or GS or Omega which are way, WAY better watches for not that much more money relatively speaking. TAG is getting better every year though.

yes, considering one is just metal pieces moving around and the other is using electricity. the only way an automatic will "die" is if the oil keeping the whole thing to move smoothly dries up (literally just apply more oil and it gets fixed) or a part breaks or rusts, which you can easily buy a replacement since majority of them use same movement anyway.
it's also why automatic watches have a huge modding scene; everything is replaceable and easy to swap parts around.

Enzo Ferrari cared about one thing and one thing only and that was to race and win races. In fact, the entire reason why he sold cars in the first place was to fund his racing team.

If he was alive today, he would've come out with a Ferrari SUV already and discontinue all other cars if it meant more money for racing. Ferrari's reputation came from simply being the best F1 team, not some stupid tripe about "heritage" that a marketing department conjured up. Now look at Ferrari now, they can't win any fucking races, and their clientele base is filled with retarded rappers and Chinese/Gulf State brats.

The Vacheron looks like it's trying too hard.
The bezel looks stupid. What even is the point of it? It serves no purpose, it's just there for aesthetic reasons.
Same with the bracelet. There are no reasons to make the links like that. These require too many steps during the production process, and don't evoke anything from an aesthetic point of view (unlike the H. Moser Streamliner for example, which is the pain to produce but at least it looks organic).
It just looks awkward and busy.

I love the 222 though. I wish Vacheron made it in steel.
