Thanks, they're much more comfortable than my Docs which rub against my heel. They were also the last pair in my size when I ordered them. I was worried they would turn out like pic related but mine displayed zero defects, probably because they were made by a white man.

In the rare event that people notice, they mostly are just going to get out of your way a little, which I call a plus. Always worn these kinds of boots (plus shaved head, etc) and probably had two people ever try and make a thing of it. Shrugged them off - no big deal.

Yes, I'd agree those are on the higher end price-wise (I'm more of a 250 kind of guy), but I don't think they're overpriced necessarily. The "lifetime" guarantee is only half-true, they'll still require maintenance to keep them in good shape and will certainly need to be resoled eventually. Also depends on what you're wearing them for, of course. Those are not boots I'd take out into the mud, you know?
That said, they look great and Red Wing's quality is fantastic. If you've got the money, you dig them, and you're not above learning/performing leather care, I'd say go for it.
