This is great advice, that appeals much more than the scorpion on the back. And the shop does offer different colours and patches for it.

On the boots, I don't know that I could even wear white/taupe boots out without the whole fit as an obvious costume. Would brown boots work ok?

I had a friend who owned this jacket. Otherwise he always looked great and acted normal. This was the only slightly autistic thing about him but to be honest he pulled it off. Everyone know what it was from, everyone knew it was a little autistic but somehow it worked for him. I think looking great and being a pretty well liked guy the other 99% of the time really helped him. Not sure how a stranger would look at it though.
