Science, philosophy, and mathematics are just a few areas of knowledge that can interpret the world. Mathematics can be found in fashion when one deals with attractive symmetries, asymmetrical styling, balancing clothing proportions to affect perceived bodily proportions, measuring the cloth when creating clothes, etc.

Actual math, not the pencil pushing you do in high school or likely the first couple years of uni, is not "effay". Math can be beautiful, yes, but it is more often the case that math is messy, complicated, and frustrating. If you are interested in math I do not want to discourage you, but if you want to study math so that other people will admire you or think your lifestyle is cool and fashionable, you will not make it very far. Even if you do you will not be receiving admiration and praise or attention from women for your accomplishments. Very few people will understand what you do and most people will tell you that they "hate math" when you introduce yourself (I still do not understand why that is socially acceptable). And most mathematicians I know do not dress well, because they have little to no social life and it does not matter how "effay" they look.
Threads like these are probably made by teenagers who put their entire life on display in social media- the goal is not just to create good looking outfits anymore but to create the appearance of a generally aesthetic lifestyle.
