Overcoats by nature extend below the knee because they are traditionally worn over a suit to protect it from the elements. You seem to be talking about topcoats, which are a shorter coat that end at mid thigh or above.

Lots of brands. Vintage is good b/c quality overcoats last a long time and you can get them for pennies on the dollar. Otherwise, go the the Rake, the Armoury, No Man Walks Alone, Mr Porter. All those webstores will carry a number of different fuller overcoat brands.
