It is much much easier to just have an extra hand that runs on a 24 hour timeframe. I think there are ways to cheaply do it that can break easily. To do it properly like an ETA or the Tudor GMT would take a complete reworking of the movement (or a copying of one of those). They could do it, they are probably working on it, but I wouldn't expect it for a few more years.

I disagree with this claim. PP makes plenty of other desirable watches. I think most people know that Patek is still in a league of their own regardless of the hype or lack thereof around the Nautilus.

AP is less complicated. You’re certainly right that the RO appears to be the only watch people want, but they still make other beautiful pieces. I find the Millenary 4101 captivating in its madness, though I’d bet most people hate it.
