So frag, I'm a simple designer owning poorfag with the ambition of releasing a book or two to get some decent income in maybe.
It's going to be a horror/cyberpunk mix that's a little cheesy in the 80's sense, inspired by stuff like Bubblegum Crisis, Ghost in the Shell and Burn Up.
It's going to feature a mostly female protagonist cast with gritty dirty but vibrant, neon coloured areas.
Should I get some frag samples to wear to really put myself in the mood alongside music when I'm writing? Or is that a stupid idea? If so what?

lads how many backup bottles do i buy for my daily? its Narciso Rodriguez for Him, its my favourite frag alongside Fahrenheit Absolute and I know its been discontinued so how many bottles do I stock up on before it gets too expensive? cause i'm kind of done with trying perfumes, i just want lots of bottles of fahrenheit absolute and nr for him and i'm set.

Also haven't been here for a while so is that schizo still here? Also I tried Caron La 3 Homme whatever and its old man but its fucking nice. fuck me its good. finally got a decant of L'Air du Desert Marocain and its probably the only frag i've tried that meets the hype. its incredibly good. umm luna rossa extreme is nice and i would have gotten a bottle if it was available but oh well. also ultra male is gay.

HEADS UP: 7x2ml samples from the new collection La Route de la Soie of Ormonde Jayne for £20.00 with code 20YEARS on their website which is a deal of the century. After buying it you can email OJ and book a one-on-one 20-minute Zoom meeting with Linda, to unbox the Discovery Lab and try the seven fragrances live with the perfumer from OJ and I'm totally going for it kek. Tested all 4 of my Francesca Bianchi samples
>Openings of all 4 were to die for
>After spraying they literally opened your eyes wide when you sniffed it, that's how high quality they are
>I highly, highly recommend sampling them to everyone to see what natural, high quality ingredients can smell like, I promise you that you won't look at most of fragrances the same way anymore after smelling these. They will be flat and trivial in comparison
>Leather accords in The Black Knight and The Lover's Tale are one of the most realistic and beautiful dark, intense leathers I smelled
>The Lover's Tale is not that skanky at all and it's not me being a hardcore nichefag. Castoreum there is really snicely blended and my gf liked it.
>All of her scents are very dense and 3 sprays are more than enough to last for a day on skin.
>Watch where you spray it though. They last for days on cloth and surfaces.
>Some time after applying The Lover's Tale I cuddled with my gf in bed and we could get whiffs of it for two days on bed sheets.
>Hence I find the price really good. All of these are extrait concentrations and a 30ml bottle will last for years. Really great deal for money and I really appreciate that she's done them in 30ml, so it's a nice addition and you don't have to worry about buying yet another 100ml bottle you will never finish.
>All of them have a strong common DNA that's based around orris root that's showing up after opening is gone and becomes more and more prominent on the way to the drydown.
>If you love orris root or powdery scents in general then you're for a real treat here. Even me as a person who hates iris/orris in general must admit that I never smelled orris done so beautifully.
>I'm not sure if I will be buying any bottle though. If the openings lasted a bit longer sure - most of these are keepers but at the end of the day the orris, even here, is not my cup of tea.
>I'd rank them as follows Etruscan Water > The Black Knight > The Lover's Tale >> Under My Skin

I even stopped caring about adding new stuff to fragrantica. Moving to parfumo.net was painless and I hope to oevertime copy all data from fragrantica there (wish there was some way to do this automatically). The website has much clearer UI than the new fragrantica. Way better way of organizing your collections of fragrances you have/had/tested/sampled/have decants of. Finally, I don't feel like most of reviewers are retards anymore. The Souk functionality is amazing but sadly most of decanters/sellers are based in Germany.

MDCI syndicate, you did not tell me how wearable all these are. With everything I’ve read about Chypre Palatin I was ready for huge and complex, I didn’t anticipate how fucking snice it is. The transition is crazy, opens up gentlemanly, almost NYIesque and takes a trip through a long abandoned stately home full of moss and reclaimed by nature to end up at the best amber I’ve ever smelled. Invasion Barbare and Fetes Parsanes are legitimate bangers. I actually quite like the Aventus clone one too. Going to try out Cuir Garamente going to bed tonight.

These are my latest cops. I actually met a guy recently who’s a finder for discount sites (basically he’s the guy who secures overstock and the like for sites like fragrancebuy), we’re buddies and he sends me a list of what he’s getting in every cou-le weeks, and sells me bottles at cost, basically, so everything except the Meleg I got at sub-50% retail. Oh, I had no idea that you were the one I was talking to about Bianchi.

Yeah, Therese is unreal. I’m sure I’ve said before but I feel I need to make a point of trying as many Roudnitska fragrances as I can. I’ve tried a good number of the FM fragrances and even though I don’t dislike many of them, this is one that really stands out from the crowd. I own a full bottle of PoaL, and there are a couple of others that are worthy of full bottles (not that I will for financial reasons), but Therese is one I’d love but can’t see myself pulling off. But I’m sure I’ll think of a way to justify it somehow. Maybe I could argue that I can use the money I saved on my free bottle of PoaL to buy it.

I’m getting close to finishing my little reviews of my other samples so I’ll get back to Bianchi soon enough. I could also see myself getting Etruscan Water as a full bottle, but there are a couple of others that I might go for as well. I might be patient and ask for the Papillon set for Christmas and out that money towards the Bianchi bottle instead.

>I can actually blind buy stuff now if I want, since I’m getting stuff so cheap. It’s basically zero risk. If I don’t like it, I can resell it for at least what I paid if not more (maybe even significantly more).
This. I can see clearly why you are rich. I am myself a student who has a quite elaborate collection of expensive bottles. This hobby can be really affordable if you know how to approach it.
>always sample buy decants first, this should go without saying
>sell bundles of samples/decants you didn't really like and don't feel like coming back later
>if you want to buy a bottle always look for the best deal
>before buying post on your local fragrance groups that you are buying a full bottle and can do decants for the price per ml you are buying + costs of packing and postage (I always list the exact price of decants, envelope, postage)
>this way I always easily reduce costs of buying the bottle substantially at little extra effort
>obviously you will also get free samples with your order, win-win
>partial bottles bought at good price are INCREDIBLY liquid, despite the fact that you spent couple hundred $ on it, you can basically get this money overnight
I have probably couple thousands bucks sitting on my shelves in fragrance bottles but don't really worry about because I know very well that I can get this money back very easily.

>Byzance
Modern magic and the bridge between East and West, where soft leather meets gourmande notes. Haunting labyrinths of intrigue. Both soft and velvety, sophisticated and simmering with inner passion…an imaginative perfume. Byzance’s oriental overture draws you closer into its sultry depths.
>Tanger
A vivid display of neroli, playing to win your heart. The scent is a lasting tribute to the quintessential marriage of harmonious perfumed oils. Expertly blended with ylang ylang and bergamot, Tanger is a sunny, golden perfume, joyful and entirely lovable.
>Levant
A bottle of happiness that has no intention of being anything other than ravishing and gorgeous. An innocent note of peony, adored by all flower lovers, a singing note of lily, a garland of orange-blossom and jasmine. Brilliant, appealing, flirtatious and full-on jubilation.
>Damask
An abstract creation of damascene rose shimmering with charm and elegance. Gourmande fruity notes of pear, lemon, blackcurrant and pink berries, forming a backdrop of unique character. Mineral amber and musk reveal inner depths of sophistication, guiding the scent into a beguiling and extraordinary perfume.
>Xandria
A nostalgic and dusky perfume, lending itself to the twilight hour and a silent, sensual moment of majestic tranquility . Composed of great complexity, the perfume is both rich and earthy, piqued by notes of apple and rum. Wisps of musk and dry amber, Xandria is a one-way ticket to Nirvana.
>Indus
The original true rose grown in the fields of Qasmar possess such a heavenly exquisite scent. Harvested before dawn in mid-Spring, to preserve aroma and quality, this time-honored ritual is witnessed by many as a moment of pure beauty and pride. Petite drops of blackcurrant bud backed by sweet oriental lychee, Armenian plum, Chinese patchouli – all in minute proportion – the very definition of finesse, the definition of perfection.

>Ambre Topkapi
Very pleasant citrusy fougere. I remember smelling it long time ago in Jovoy and what I had in my memory was only pineapple. It's really prominent but there's so much more happening here. It's floral, citrusy, fruity animalic.
>Peche Cardinal
It's marketed towards women but holy fuck it's blowingly good. My favorite peach heavy fragrance to the date was Roja's Diaghilev (actually one of very few that I like form him). But the peach here is so much better and juicy that Diaghilev's peach smells like a 1-dimensional arab clone comparing to it. I think a guy could easily pull it off if he's not afraid of juicy fruity scents.

>> No.15686177

Got my decant of Insomnia by Faviol Seferi. Never smelled the By Killian it's attempting to clone but it's a gorgeous sweet gourmand on some woody background. It's defo a good
value for 69.00€. Apparently it also lasts ages and projects well but I'm going to test in my skin.

I get a bit more, but what can you do? spray more. I could wear that everyday and be happy with it. Ive gotten compliments after I thought it was dead, so I think nose blindness comes into play at least a little bit. I wore 6 sprays of ambre nuit today, some days I cant smell it after 20 minutes, but today it chugged along after 10-12, I was shocked I was still getting delicious whiffs at the end of my shift. Context matter. Eugene is a blue collar factory guy buying tens of thousands in frags. Someone like, say, hookerfag is a millionaire who spends more money in a week banging escorts than most people spend on frags in a year. One can afford to drop thousands on bottles, one can’t. It’s sad when someone has an addiction they can’t afford, it’s not sad when a rich person has an opulent collection.

limbic driven behavior is a universal traits not dependent on income or class. Spending half your paycheck on perfume is the same at 400 a week or 4k. Its a thing youre collecting, and it turns into a feeling youre collecting, or a place, or basically something outside your present reality. I feel just as sad when you see rich people and all their shit, because you know they need all of it to feel alive, and most of them dont even reach that state of mind. Poorfags and their shitter collection make me just as happy, because you know the joy they feel is the same as any other human emotion someone else feels. Eugene is real, he loves perfume, and would lose everything for it. Now tell me why I wouldnt want to listen to his take on things.

Sell your collection, or don't, just box it up and put it in the attic. Stop wearing perfume and stop wearing scents. Try it for a month, or a year, or in his case, forever if he wants his wife back. Then you can start lecturing me on listening to someones opinion on a particular composition, after all the shit hes smelled on his journey.
I also watch him because I think hes fallen under some powerful magic. Everyone in fashion is satanic witch fucks. Perfume is dangerous, most of you don't care to open up to all the symbology of the entire thing. Its to keep you dreaming. I was watching a carolina herrera interview the other day and she let it slip.
