I'm still fat but I'm getting there. I started at 303lbs on January 18th of this year but I started eating 1,200 calories to start dropping. I know about calories and how the lower you go the faster you drop. I think it was around March that I switched to 1000 a day. Now I stop at 979 calories a day at the most. I've been doing this every day since late March and it's been working of course. What's even better is that eating such small meals for so long, it feels like I physically can't have as much food as before. It's great knowing my body's learning to stop when it's time to stop. My family is all overweight and even now at 195 they say I'm getting too small so I don't know how they'll react to 170lbs me let alone 135lbs. I just want to look like Cher...

When you eat any meal, including main courses and snacks, you should put down the fork/spoon between every bite. Fully down as in touching the table or back in the bowl without your hand touching it. Chew and swallow. Then take a swig of water or whatever you're drinking after EVERY bite. Repeat until you're done. Don't feel pressured to eat everything off your plate if you're stuffed. Using this method sometimes I can only get halfway through my meal before I have to stop because I'm full. I've thrown out a lot of good food doing this but it never worth eating past the point of fullness. You don't even enjoy the food at that point, just eating to feel stuffed so stop yourself if you can.
Tip within the tip: the longer you take to eat your food, the longer you feel genuinely full afterwards.

I used to look at these threads to help lose some weight (was 55kg at 156cm, pretty chubby, engaged in some bulimic behaviour). After a traumatic event this year something in me snapped and my brain went to full on restrict mode and now I’m 41.8kg. If you're undereating, you can't gain weight working out. And really, if you're undereating and working out you will just end up losing weight faster. However- if you high restrict with enough protein and work out you'll tone the muscles, lose the hard-to-lose skinny fat and just look better overall. Skinny-fat looks good in clothes if that's your goal, but if you want to look good naked low bf is the only way senpai.
