I am beyond mad that the housing and job market are such shit that a bachelors of science can't afford to just rent my own fucking jail cell with a toilet and bed somewhere in a relatively not-shit neighborhood.

>just live with your parents and save money
is not worth it when your parents are mentally ill balls of negative energy complaining about everything they possibly can. Whenever I have the money I will indeed shell out 20k per year to be rid of them. It'll be worth it.

We bought the house last year and are fixing up all the rooms (old plaster walls that need cracks properly fixed). The tv room is navy blue, laundry room is pumpkin, and the main hallway is a dark lavender. One of the bedrooms was already mint green (rest off the house was a terrible off white) and we might keep it that way. I have a pretty specific idea in my head on how I want everything to look, every room having its own separate "theme" or feel, but everything still sort of flowing.

I don't think you have your priorities straight. Bookshelves, aquarium and lighting are less important than a working station right now.

I assume you cant go to your office (you might be in belarus though). I really would advise you to get some sort of ergonomic working station. During corona, this is going to be the most important spot in your house. Get a secondhand office chair, a laptop stand and a good keyboard and mouse.

I'd suggest maybe replacing the bright white lighting with a soft white one to make the ambience less clinical looking since generally I can't imagine of any way of bright white light being ideal outside of commercial settings.

most of this is done by artisans, not artists. It's a pre-political production mode. It's not like there's no art under fascism or libertarianism -- it's usually just underwhelming because most fascists are either failed artists who aren't very good to begin with, or are military men and lack refinement.

BIG exception to Italy and Portugal, though. Their fascist art SLAPPED.
