Cologne from what I remember is worse than EdP (or EDT I don’t remember). I could barely smell it but the other one was very snice and better performing. That being said probably not worth buying if you know cologne already.
I’m a 26 yo guy and it seems that it’s the typical demographic in this thread: 20-30-something guys. Note breakdowns and season are easy to look up on fragrantica and to be honest there’s nothing worse than just reciting notes mindlessly (especially given that in many cases only some are really noticeable or you can’t really distinguish any because of how smooth the blend is). I don’t care about massappeal and it seems to be the shared notion in this thread. It’s more about how they make you feel and if you like your frags yourself not others. In general, I observed that if you like your cologne and wear it confidently then it’ll always be a positive thing for others. No one will bat an eye when you wear 95% of stuff discussed in these threads. To be fair smell is just a small part of your image and the way you carry yourself is way more important. Some people on internet exaggerate its importance. Im not an advocate of wearing Hyrax to work or whatever but if You’re 20+ then you should know by now that no matter how hard you try there’ll be always people who won’t like you for something. Let it be your accent, reninding then of someone, your hair or whatever. Care about your integrity not what to do to please others. However, it’s always nice to hear when girls tell you next time that she loved that her room or bedsheets or whatever smelled of you after you left. But it really shouldn’t be the main focus. Nevertheless I typically say when something smell dated to my nose.

I was going to meme without asking for more info and say CdG Incense series but this is what you're exactly looking for, especially if you want Japanese influenced fragrances. Can be had just under $100. Unfortunately no leather/sandawood though. For leather + incense but more vetiver, 2 Man might work.

Serge Lutens' Chergui is a classic that has incense and sandalwood, but it also has other stuff and while it's a great intro to niche the house has a sweet/oriental DNA

Another good option would be L'Artisan's Dzongkha (this is a bit more weird, but can be found at discounters)

All of these are great intros to niche perfumery. If you want budget I'd look at L'Occitane's Eau des Baux (incense + cypress).

Very nice recommendations. I’d just make a point that Chergui is in the first place amber and tobacco. Instead of getting CdG 2 Man I’d get Bentley Absolute which is very close and absolutely niche tier but cheap. Montale Full Incense is quite cheap. La Liturgie des Heures, Heeley Cardinal are all carholic incenses similar to Avignon (Jovoy being my favourite). The reference dark bitter incense is the classic Piguet Casbah. Armani Prive has good incense stuff (but a bit overpriced) Bois d’Encens, Myrrhe Imperiale and the spectular Bleu Torquise (sea salt accord from Acqua Di Sale with vanilla and incense - brilliant stuff). If you want hand down the best incense in the game now then get yourself a bottle of Prissana Ma Nishtana from lucky scent. You lickers in USA can get it for $140 unlike us Eurobois. It’s the peak niche complex incense that will blow your mind (and is still smooth and completely wearable).

I bought a full bottle after a 2ml sample. It’s very unique to me, although I’ve not tried many fresh fragrances outside of the designer ones. Normally when you think of fresh spring/summer it’s bergamot, lemon, aquatic notes, neroli etc. With this it’s still got a fruity aspect, a touch of sweetness, but in a pleasant way, not cloying at all. It doesn’t project, longevity is reasonable for a lighter fragrance. It still has depth though, it’s not just light and fruity and then it’s gone, it has development. I guess if I were to compare it to anything, it would probably be the kind of thing you might find in the Blu line from AdP. I’m not saying it’s anything like those, but I find them to be interesting summer fragrances and probably the closest comparison you’re likely to find. Basically what I’m saying is you should absolutely try it if you want a unique summer scent.

This site is full of incels and coomers. Of course they think of everything in terms of whether it can get them laid. If you’ve never had sex, you assume that getting laid is literally the best, most important thing in life and that everything you do should be to help you reach this lofty goal.

Chill, dudes. It’s not all that. It’s sticking your dick in a warm, wet hole for a few minutes. You’re really not missing that much.

I don’t see too many people trying to build their entire lives around getting burgers. Sex and burgers are both some of the great pleasures in life, but for some reason, people seem to think it’s perfectly fine, even desirable, to be obsessed with one, but not the other. It’s fucking weird. There’s really no reason to be so obsessed with sex. It’s just a bit of fun, there’s not really that much to it.

Immediate crack of the sharp and sparse: celery, lime, and dry lawn clippings arrive first, only slightly conjoined through a shared bitter glow. As soon as they arrive they begin to independently fall and rise again, leaving a solid block of stale lemon pepper in their wake, intermittently seeming to conceal a nauseous and grating whiff of gastric acid that never quite escapes its covers. As the intro fades, that digestive sourness becomes the odd car out on a slow-rotating and blurred carousel of oily woods, including a school desk, an old moss-covered bookshelf, and something like post office stationary which are slowly brought around and replace each other in the back of your throat

Scores compliments of "fresh pepperiness" from others and interesting to experience but it just gets more unpleasant and tougher to keep my lunch down the longer I'm in it despite the subtlety

>Squid
Good choice I quite liked it.
>Dates Delight
I've smelled House of Oud the other time in Jovoy and was not particularly impressed with any. Idk if I tried this too.
>Jubilation 25
Used to have an Oman bottle and reformulated sample. It didn't click with me really because of the blackberry chocolate note. Fragrance du Bois is a strictly better fragrance that is not as Arab as Jubi.
>Gold Knight
>Intoxicated
Kilian does gourmands well but they're very pricy. Probably worth sampling though.
>By the Fireplace
MMM - no thanks. If you want to try an actually wearable masculine gourmand then try Aomassai 10 by Pierre Guillaume. It's gorgeous.
>Al Contrario
Don't know this one.
>Memoirs of a Tresspasser
M. Micallef Gaiac does the same thing but is way better.
>Oajan
Super sweet and cloying. This should be a feminine scent. If you want honey then try Naomi Goodsir Or du Serail.
>Unum io non ho mani che mi accarezzino il volto
>Unum LAVS
I only know him from his fancy bottles and they make me a bit skeptical about the juice tbf. LAVS looks better on paper note-wise.
>Tom Ford Tuscan Leather
One of the best Tom Fords that (together with Oud Wood and Tobacco Vanille) put his house onto a niche map.
>Tom Ford Oud Fleur
Not the best Rose+Oud by any means. Get Diptyque Oud Palao/Oud Ispahan if you don't want to go Arab way.
>MDCI Fetes Persanes
That's probably me who shilled it into you. It's super comfy and great.

From what I understand you're looking for gourmands with an oriental twist. Check out maybe Profumum Roma Sorriso and Dulcis in Fundo, Rose Arabia Almond, Sushi Imperiale, Carner Barcelona Palo Santo, Cuir Cuba Intens.

No one is shilling this house here my dude. I'm the one recommending New York Intense because it's just Jubilation done right and better. Contrary to what you may think I consider FdB overpriced, pretentious bullshit house. I smelled 10+ of their frags and even used to own these two but sold them because there were not that special at all at the end of the day. The only truly exceptional fragrance from their offering (apart from NYI if you like Jubi) is Sahraa Oud. Is it worth trying? Yes. Is it worth $1000 for a bottle. No. Also now it seems that they got the queen of thots Demi on board as she shills them relentlessly.

My sample of Interlude arrived today and damn, thanks to whoever was shilling it, this is lovely. I can't wait to wear it on Saturday night. I'm still too much of a noselet to comprehend everything going on in this. I guess I should try Jubi next. Whats the difference between XXV and 25 though? They also sent a little sample of Kilian Black Phantom (pic related) but its not in a spray so do you dab this thing with that straw? Or what am i supposed to do? The Black Phantom is very warm and boozy, the rum, caramel and vanilla seem to be at the forefront for me. Smells pretty nice but I'm not crazy for it personally, I feel thats it a bit of a vanilla scent, like plain I guess? Something very safe (which I never thought would be a bad thing so I guess I'm a frag snob now?). It is cozy though.

>>15284756
its a meme cause your stuff is basic popular normie and pajeet frags that they get cause they're popular rather than cause they like it and this isnt really the place to get help for that stuff but how old are you? Eros has no versatility, is impossible to pull off over the age of 21 and yet is worn by middle aged pajeets and arabs at clubs. Layton is a mature version of it but is way too overpriced for what it is and you can get much better things at that price. Boss Bottled Intense is supposed to be similar to it so look into that. As for Dylan Blue, I dislike aqua frags so I disliked that so my opinion for that is a bit useless. Honestly, you should go in store and test designers anyway and buy the one that clicks with you rather than the ones that are most popular. I blind bought CDNIM out of hype and it just sits there the piece of shit.

Alright here's the requested review time. Eau de Rochas by Rochas. One sniff, everyone knows the rules.
Opens very nice and fresh with a strong blast of lemons. That's the most pleasant part of it as after the opening you get a musky carnation+patchouli accord on oakmoss that smells just dated. Overall it's indeed a little brother of Eau Sauvage in the sense that it's an attempt to make the classic Eau de Cologne go beyond the citric refreshing blast by adding some more woodsy structure to it and brighten it up with hedione but Eau Sauvage smells just better and more apt for modern times with it's overall herbal-woodsy take imo. I must add that Rochas is a very soft fragrance, too. What looks way more promising is Rochas Eau de Rochas Homme. Gonna try to find this one. I give it 6.8.
