They are old school. Lots and lots of finishing by hand. Dials are hand made, hands made by hand as well. Teardrop lugs are forged and soldered to the case. Small production output, less than 300 watches a year. Company dates back to 1773.

Just look at the movement and you will see for yourself. Better finishing than Patek, AP, even Lange.

Here on their website you can see how they make different parts of their watches: https://www.urbanjurgensen.com/legacy/craftsmanship

Well the nomos makes a higher percentage of the watch themselves. This may or may not be important to you. For instance, although the nomos alpha calibre is based off the peseaux 7001, nomos makes the the alpha in their factory and the parts are not interchangeable (the alpha also hacks where the 7001 does not unless it is modified). You also have the brand affiliation of buying a nomos, albeit an entry level one, since the company is doing some neat things on the higher end. Honestly, if you dont care about those things then the stwa is probably a better deal but i have not had the chance to compare them closely. I have a friend who has a stowa flieger and a nomos tangente and he speaks highly of both (and he's had some nice watches over the years). i dont like the new stowa logo tho

i used to live invicta watches in high school but now that im older and i know about "nicer" watch brands theyve kind of phased out of my mental wish list. now to me they look gaudy and overcompensating for what im suspecting would be poor quality. also growing up in outerborough new york i only ever see them on low level drug dealers, puerto ricans, and trashy italian roid ragers who more likely than not drive a ford raptor, watch UFC and beat their girlfriends/wives. does invicta have a stigma in your area, or even to you personally? is this actually a nice brand or is it for overcompensating dickheads who cant afford a breitling?

Nomos alpha is based on the 7001 but they make it themselves and they regular it in 6 prositions if I'm not mistaken. Stowa uses a ETA 2824-2 in there 36-40mm watches the 7001 is only on the marine 36 mm small seconds, their larger small seconds watches use a Unitas 6498-1.

Nomos is 8.25/4 mm thick (depending on the model and case back and the stowa is 10.5 mm thick (Flieger are 9.2mm)

If you must have the overseas do this:-
Get an omega, new seamaster is a good buy, 3k on chrono24 new, the 10k you have left could start up a small business, make your 15k for the overseas + your 10k you used to start up. Put the 10k back in the small business or start another one. You now have your overseas + omega and a small business, £25k in a year or a bit more, shouldn't be a problem. It is just a side thing for you by the sound of things so take it at your own speed (10k or 5k start up whatever). Good luck anon. 90k investment should come first of course, think of the sec one as a watch fund / car fund / boys toys business, I do the same thing but on a smaller scale honestly. Keeps the wife happy.

Got a lotus and 4 watches out of doing the same thing, speedy, seamaster 300m, explore 2, milgauss. I wanted a Rolex 2 tone sub, I'm okay with were I ended up.

And yea 5k is a good place in watches, you get iconic well made and respected watches. You already know yourself what you need to do.

I buy and sell, it's all about quick turn over. You should sell your £10k on stock in 30 days and take your profit and rebuy with your £10k, repeat.

It’s a coastal town in Germany. Don’t know if that makes it more funny or less so.
But people there appeared pretty normal when I was there. Also no obvious cucking or other kinky shit going on on the beach, no matter if nude beach or normal.
