Hey /fa/ I don't usually post here, I'm not super /fa/ conscious. But I grew up skating and I never bought a nice pair of sneakers like Jordans or anything nice because I'd tear through them.

Now that I'm too old for skateboarding I've realized that I can own a nice pair of sneakers without absolutely shredding them apart.

So this is where I come to you, I don't have much interest in paying obscene amounts of money. But I know there are still really nice sneakers for around the $15-300 mark.

Can you guys help with some suggestions? I've been lurking stockx and heard good things about GOAT too. But I'm also not opposed to picking up something new from footlocker/nike/addidas. I actually kind of liked the Lebron Soldier 13s, spent 5-10 minutes last night making a nice black/red styled one.

I'm open to all sorts of suggestions though, I'm not huge a huge fan of crazy mix of bright colors like bright yellows/pinks/ect on the same shoe.

A pair of Jordan 7s in the DMP colorway released recently and (I think?) it was a general release, haven't been paying much attention to drops recently but I know they're going for around retail still.

These don't exist mate. America used to have a lot of footwear manufactures in the North East (New England area). The best you can do is New Balance Made in America which is gonna be $190+, and the materials and outsole still come from China, its just assembled in America really.

Despite mass market shoes having poor quality control. Its quite expensive and complex to make modern shoes and massive companies have buying power since they make hundreds of thousands at a time, the cost can be spread out. Your not just making 1 pair, you need tooling, machines, and lasts, to make several different sizes.

A little known company would end up having to pay far more per pair since they don't have the capital like these large corporations. Not to mention the actual cost of labor difference between America & China.
