I am trying out intermittent fasting (8 hours eating window, 16 hours no eating windos), this is my first day today. I try to lose fat on my face and stomach area but am also thinking about making stomach exercises to I am thin but also have abs or at least outline. I wanted to be a big buff motherfucker at first but I hurt my elbows so bad they haven't healed for 6 months and I doubt they ever will. instead of me linking you a bunch of lengthly articles, consider this simple scenario:

>have TDEE of 2000kcal during a 24 hour period
>eat 1500kcal OMAD
>1500kcal of fats, sugars, amino acids hit the blood 30 minutes later
>body only needs a fraction of that for now
>burns off 100kcal of fat/sugar/amino acids for enrgy
>stores the other 1400kcal as body fat/glycogen/LBM
>few hours later body needs more energy
>starts burning fat/glycogen/LBM

so lets say your hormones are fucked and you're predisposed to storing belly fat (high cortisol levels from drinking coffee), or your diet consists of high-fructose corn syrup and alcohol, then when you eat you're GAINING BELLY FAT, and then when you lose weight you LOSE IT ALL OVER YOUR BODY, the net result is LOSS ALL OVER BODY EXCEPT BELLY WHICH IS SLOWER/SAME/EVEN BIGGER

Funny thing you said it, because I spontaniously had a change of heart and thought about doing it too! But going from no diet at all to OMAD could be a bit too hard so I won't be deadset on ot just now. I also read that OMAD may be bad because you get all your calories with one meal and your body can't do anything with this much so it actually stores it as fat and you are weak throughout the whole day, but with diets it's always people saying it's good and others daying it's bad. For now I try to get all nutrients too, like carbs, fat and protein. Although, no real muscles=no protein needed?

The idea isn't to eat the recommended daily intake at once, but to allow yourself only one meal a day, and if you keep it reasonably small it will then be manageable. But, as you said, people will never be settled on dietary issues. Newton's fourth law: for every dietary research, there is a research that has the opposite results. Protein keeps hunger away better, so even with no Schwarzenegger body it would be a good idea to have more of that and less carbs, I think.
