Background: I work a fairly active job (builder) with medium-long 3A hair.

I generally shower every morning, shampoo every 3-4 day, conditioner wash every day unless I'm exceptionally lazy and I'm not leaving the house that day.

I also brush it in the shower when it's fully saturated with water and conditioner (pic rel), pulls out loose hairs and good for the scalp. NEVER BRUSH CURLY HAIR DRY.

After shower I use a large coin sized amount of leave-in conditioner (Shea Moisture Curl&Shine) and if I'm going out I'll apply a moderate amount of gel (currently trying out V05 Mega Hold).

I wrap my hair in a microfiber towel for 5-10 minutes to dry it (look up "plopping") and air dry the rest.

Still recommend avoiding dry brushing even on straight hair. I know a lot of straight haired folks will go on for days about different brush types and materials and shapes but I've never looked into it.

I have a receding hairline at the age of 18. When does it become time to buzz it all off? It is definitely noticable. If I put my bangs down, it forms a V shape from the difference in growth.

Literally no one in my family, even my grandparents or relatives, are bald. I don't know what to do bros. I am sad.

If you have an undercut, or taper, it's perfect to growyou your hair out from without touching it. The back and sides generally grow faster than the tip an you'll want the top to sit over the rest anyway.

I used to have hair like this when I was a tween. I was able to transform it into this by changing my haircair routine. Stopped using garbage three in one products. Stopped using shampoo completely, except for maybe twice a month, only use conditioner now. And I take atleast 15 min in the shower everyday rubbing a good conditioner into my scalp.

i can have very uncontrollable hair because of how thick it is and it can get frizzy.
however, what tends to work for me is taking an extremely small amount of shaving cream, mixing it with water and then applying it to my hair after showering. i can add a pic if yall are interested.
