I weight lift a shit ton, and the basic answer is that you just need to go custom once OTR suits stop working - even shit-tier online places like Indochino work. I'm huge in the chest, and my good suit jackets work with that without either being excessively baggy or making me look like I'm gonna explode out of the suit. Avoid slim-fit suits like the plague - I have no idea why some places think "slim fit" is "smaller arms and chest but the same size waist," it's like they're incentivizing failure.

Thankfully, my proportions are such where I can get regular fit Brooks Brothers shirts and just take in the waist, and somehow it looks good - or, at least, decent.

I get the majority of my stuff from Thrift consignment and vintage, but the quality of shops varies from town to town. Pants and shirts bespoke because I'm long. Just get an OCBD in blue or something and you're good to go. It can be extremely casual or you can make it nice. It's the most versatile shirt out there.
