The people in their 30s just wear extensions of their styles from their 20s. I dont understand the dress your age meme. No generation has ever suddenly turned around in their 30s and dressed differently. Its iust evolved from their 20s.

Why do zoomers want millenials to dress like boomers?

I thought we all agreed that they were out of touch? Or are zoomers just licking same sex holes as a phase and you all plan on wearing poorly fitting suits and white NB in 15 years?

So many successful businesses todays are ran by sub 40 year olds. Millenials proved that you don't have to act like a fucking kiss ass tool who went to the right schools to have a good life, and they did it in the shoes they liked. I own a business, I turn a profit, and I wear nikes and cargos and ride my bike around the city. What the fuck does my age dress like? My closest counterpart gets too fat for every suit he wears and his greatest ambition is to get severance pay to bankroll a year off before he gets another salary job and finally get's married.

you're going to dress like whatever culture you ascribe too by 30, which is probably something you'll be working at by 25, which is just around the corner at 20.

If you did what made you happy, you're probably working somewhere tangentially related to your passions, and if your goal is to be successful in your chosen field or passion, than you're going to only move and dress closer to that.

If you're a doctor you're probably wearing button ups or nice jumpers. If you're an audio tech you're wearing torn jeans. And if you're a designer, who gives af, you get paid for your good taste above all else, where whatever the fuck you want (hence 2020 millenial fashion).

Spoken like a true teenager.

"Mature" teens think when you hit certain ages you totally transform and that belief is not a sign of their maturity but their immaturity.

Once you hit 30 and talk to people of that age you'll find they are still in most cases still like kids. Most people only start to feel their age until at least after 35 but that's not set in stone.

"Dressing your age"
Look at your father, look at your grandfather, your mother and your grandmother; they dress like they did as young adults, probably.

What young adults dress changes; but people mostly keep "true" to the style they developed in their mid/late 20s.

That´s what dressing their age means.

Dress style relies more on how you look as an individual as opposed to your actual age.

Some people aged 20 look 30 and some 35 year olds look 25. When you're outside strangers do not know your age. So if you are 18 and look middle aged wearing a hoodie you are going to look a little goofy because they simply do not know your age. If you hit 30 and still look like a child and wear a full suit, you'll look like you're playing dress up.

That's why "you have to dress in x way at x age" is a load of nonsense.

I can promise you if you hit 30 and start wearing a suit or whatever no stranger will pass you by in the street and be like

>ohh!! they are dressing age appropriate because they are 30 years old

Not 1.

Wear what you find pleasing and enjoy wearing, not some "unwritten rules" based on age. If you look younger/older than you are then just tailor the fit by adding certain pieces and removing others that make you look too young/too old.

>> No.15037340

Most people do. Most people start wearing shoes instead of sneakers and tuck in their shirts when they reach about 26 or so
It's just that the people on /fa/ are manchildren. And celebrities are obviously also sheltered retards

>> No.15037341

>>15037340
I can't tell you how autistic, yes I will use that word, it would be to hit 26 or some arbitrary number and then start tucking a shirt in. Forcing yourself to dress a certain because "reasons" based on random number when 99% of people won;t even know the number of your age.

Celebs do dress stupid most of the time but there are plenty of mature aged people who still dress as teens out there, the regular 40 year old does not dress smart.

26 is really fucking young too.

>> No.15037346

That's just what I see happrning here in the Netherlands of uni students who graduate. The year after they graduate they dress all proffesional and shit (and not just for their jobs)
Uni students here like to pretend they are posh anyways so most already wear shirts and stuff

>> No.15037359

>>15037355
And some will look younger than they are and some will look older so nobody in the world will know they are dressing that way because of their age, it really ends up being pointless and forced.

It's self-defeating. You hit 26 and dress professional while you might look 18 so everyone thinks you are a teenager playing dress up.
