What the fuck were people thinking in the 2010's?

>> No.14974907

Same thin they’re thinking now. I can barely see any kind of difference.
1980 to 1990 was such a world of difference, but 2000 to 2020 seems so much the same

you butterfly i keep seeing you crossboard from lit, please at least take the trip off. I get that lit is a shithole, but no reason to drag it to other places

This an example of different? Girls don’t dress like this at awards ceremonies anymore? The hair?
True, I see a lot of people, of all ages, with dyed hair, but that trend happened in the 80s and 90s. Beards for 20 years now. The rips in the jeans are back, as stupid as ever, but not much different as far as I can tell

yes? fat skater shoes, baggy pants, obnoxious colors. it's exclusively 00's
there's also the scene raver stuff

Emo/scene was thankfully purged. And yeah, I hated corporate ravers. Real 90s rave was more me. I think this girl is just kidding. Wtf is scene rave? Hahaha.
But baggy bullshit is still around.

>>14974979
Is this something he noticed too?
It’s really disturbing, ya know. Fashion trends pre industrial revolution was quite slow, but seemed to quicken post revolution. But 21st century stuff is so stale.
The rehash had started in the 1970s though. They looked back to the 1950s and 1920/30s. Heaping spoon fulls of nostalgia for the 60s in the 80s. 90s rolls along and I expected bell bottoms to come back, but we only got That 70s Show.
I read a fashion blurb in a paper once at the end of the 90s that commented on it. We seem tired but schizophrenic for something new and there just isn’t anything new.
Well just an old woman's rant/observations

Emo/Scene was great. I wish more trends would allow me to see cute fuckable boys in makeup.

I mostly hated it for being a bastardization of goth, which has far more weight to it. But don’t get me started!

Wtf are you talking about. In the 00s mainstream fashion was comprised of skater fashion, offspring-like hip hop wear, boring slim business suits, jeans and urban tribes.
The 2010s had hipster fashion as its foremost style, with all its dedicated like workwear; not to mention profound changes to menswear, the end of tribes, social media influence, a higher focus on quality of the garments and methods of production.

>he thinks 2000s fashion was similar to 2020s

if you wore black skinny jeans (the current norm) back in 2000 you´d get called fag and emo
