I think you're within the limits of perfectly standard style. Looking "fit" is good, but you really just have to not have a protruding belly, I think. In other words, you should be good so long as you maintain the diet. If you're just starting out, the big beginner's principles are appropriate fit and color matching, both of which have easily available guides when web searched. I think the most important thing is honestly evaluating yourself. Look in a (full-length) mirror. Do you look good? Does the outfit convey what you want it to convey? If not, change something.
