Not really. It’s marketed as unisex, and fragrances in general are pretty much unisex. Whether a fragrance is “for” men or women is largely branding. Hell, there are men’s and women’s fragrances that smell basically identical (like Ultra Male and Pink Sugar). Don’t worry about what sex a fragrance is marketed to. Just try fragrances that interest you. I’m telling you, Soleil Neige is very good. It’d be a shame to refuse to try it because you think it’s supposed to be for girls.

L'homme infiniment is very based. So much leather, but I feel a bit light-headed, even though I think the gasoline vibes are exaggerated and disappears quickly. Today my Black Friday IA samples arrived so I might post some impressions. So far I only tried The Soft Lawn and I really liked it. I picked up something like melon or some other watery fruit on it, which felt really juicy when I just sprayed it but not so much now that it's been settling down for a couple minutes, which have been smelling more floral, I guess. Having played tennis for some years I can't say it smells like tennis balls, but I definitely can see what people are talking about when they say that's how it smells. I am picking up some vetiver but not pungent and sharp as in something like TdH or Encre Noire, it feels like it's there more to balance the floral notes so it doesn't lean feminine. Overall it feels like it's a pretty snice casual scent.

My memes have arrived. Someone dun fucked up, because I got two bottles of Virtus. Only charged ordered one, but hey, free shit. I will note, both came with free travel atomizers and one came with a hand-signed letter from /ourcuck/.

Impressions right off the bat: Virtus smells niche-quality. Date absolutely does not.

Virtus, you get lots of resins and spice, it’s very rich and heavy, a little bit tropical. Lots of tobacco and honey. Sort of reminds me a bit of Back to Black, but with tropical fruit notes and something a bit “darker” that I can’t quite put my finger on.. Actually pretty snice.

Date, well, it’s exactly what you’d expect. Candy sweet, big citrus opening, fresh with a little spiciness. Very generic, very synthetic. Kind of smells a bit like Juicy Fruit gum. Does get a bit less sweet as it dries, but still very generic. Not hating, trying to be as objective as possible here. It really does smell like something you could grab at Macy’s for 60.00. Nothing at all unique about it. Glad I used the VIP50 code, because if I’d paid anywhere near full price I’d be pissed.

So yeah. Date, don’t bother with. Just buy whatever JPG or whatever for a quarter of the price. Virtus, actually pretty interesting. Seems like /ourcuck/ might actually be putting some effort into his brand.

Ok. A couple hours in now. Date basically smells like a slightly sweeter Office. Same Ambroxan, sort of Aventus-lite drydown. Virtus is now smelling a lot like a fancier version of CK One Shock. Very similar sweet, fruity tobacco drydown. Lots of cardamom. Snice, but honestly probably not worth the money given how similar to Shock the drydown is. I liked the opening a lot, though.

Really kind of amazed how similar to Office Date is now. It’s like they’re the same scent and Morillas just added a bunch of citrus and sugar to the top notes. So yeah, don’t get Date. I was expecting nothing and I’m still disappointed.

My 10ml of BdC EDP came in, and it included a 2ml sample of Calvin Klein Be. The BdC was pretty good. Probably the best in my collection for something super safe but also gives me a lot of confidence. The opening was decently generic as expected, with loads of grapefruit and "cologne guy" citrus, but in the best way possible. It got pretty comfy afterwards when it got darker. It's a snice.

ck Be was surprisingly based. I'm not a fan of lavender frags but I really dig the lavender in it. I'll probably end up coping it when summer hits.
