While no one would ever suggest incorporating eating a 18" pizza into your morning routine is a bad idea, it is very important that this act occurs before your morning shower. try re-regulating it, otherwise you're fucked.
Seiko movements below 6R suck for this shit because they don't have shock protection but they still have tight tolerances meaning pins will bend, especially the balance staff, on impact because there's no room = low impluse.

use tg-timer to find out the beat rate too.
If anything it's an excuse to upgrade to an NH35, don't you dare throw it out just cause it's a cheap watch.

Vostok slavshitters are unironically god tier for dropping, vibrating etc because they have both a incabloc system (primitive materials but still very functional) and relatively loose tolerances so theres increased impulse on shock which means less force on the parts.
I fucking love these commie pieces of shit so much god damn.
The one thing I would change is either adding a screw or some kinda swanneck thing to the regulating lever because it's too loose. moderate bumps and stuff will move it out of place (like during shipping) and then mongoloids start posting le +40spd memes.

That may be a good idea on paper, but he will still have to get the stem properly fit. Although they usually come at max length on stock NH35's so you'd just need to shorten it.

And older Vostoks (Shared with all 3 2209 class movements) have their own kind of of shockspring. I don't recall if it's still in use in the newer Vostoks.

With my knowledge of today i would probably buy it again because i like the style. Paid 560€ for it then, has a russian poljot P 3133 hand wound chrono and it seems to be solid. Actually the parts Rolex outsourced was very well known since the firms that made them were huge. They had to be to keep up with production. However Rolex have in the last 15 years or so either bought those firms or simply built their own. That process is still ongoing with _some_ hand and _some_ crystals being the only parts they don't 100% produce in-house (yet). None of that is based in China.

News Flash: No one gives a fuck if your watch is automatic or quartz. No one gives a fuck if there's a tachymeter, a diving bezel, a complication, or if it's made of steel or something else. No one fucking cares.
When you knuckle dragging retards come here and tell someone they're stupid for having a complication on their watch and that people would ever actually care about it, it reminds me that you're all probably still in high school, never had a gf, and live at home.
